  1. Blows me away just thinking about it. What if he's wearing a mesh shirt underneath?
  2. We're still not on the same plane. I think the man gave her an honest compliment according to the culture he is a part of. I don't see anything sick about it. And why wouldn't he think of "an American woman" using the same context, values, and beliefs that he sees the women of his own culture? I am not sure I understand what it is about his comment/actions that are so baffling as to be laughable. Plus, I usually need things explained to me pretty explicitly.
  3. Ooowww, you *are* bad!
  4. She must be really bad if she need a whole team of wife-beaters to straighten her out...
  5. Sure, goats and cows can provide entertainment. I just didn't get the humor in the "like an African woman" statement.
  6. I don't quite understand what's funny about that.
  7. With a name like "artschool", I doubt anyone really thinks you have plans to work-so don't fret.
  8. Yet, no one gets their panties in a bunch about using the word "pimp" to mean something good.
  9. They are the opposite of softies.
  10. Then you aren't invited.
  11. Cool.
  12. If by shape you mean on the molecular scale, then yes. But then you say not chemical composition so lets leave the molecular scale. Above molecular scale,in lung toxicology the size and mass of inhaled particles is important. For diameters much above 2 microns the particles tend to slam into the airway walls when the path to the alveolus makes angles. They get stuck in the mucous and cilia transport it all back up to the throat where you hork it down or out. For diameters below 2 microns the particles follow the airflow gracefully to the alveoli but there they just get absorbed into the cells and disposed of like other junk. 2 microns is supposed to be a bad size, but I don't remember why, only that a toxicologist told me that long ago. And now I finally got to sound technikal. Sorry I couldn't answer your question, though. I imagine little ninja death star sharp-edged shapes could be bad. I always suspected that "hork" was a medical term. I can see that using chalk in an enclosed area could cause problems; but when you are outside, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Does it?

    Lance!

    Funny, I feel better.
  16. Americans need to walk more. I wonder how much fuel would be saved if every fatass just walked to the market for their apples and oranges rather than drive two miles.
  17. Seattle has 21 dog day care and dog spas. There are transportation options as well.
  18. Maybe I am not picturing this right, but wouldn't the first block fall through the sling and not require the second block to hold it? And if the first block were to fall, the second block would have to withstand the shock load if the first block, right? Please explain this a little more if you can--I have used blocks to rap from and I am wondering if I should be doing something different. Thanks.
  19. I thought this was going to be a thread about senior citizens
  20. And think of the geek who wrote it. I thought we spent too much time posting bullshite.
  21. Not mitigating. The word you want is exacerbating. I am a master exacerbater.
  22. Lifting weights is perfect for this. If you switch your grip between regular grip and "monkey" grip, you will impact your strength measurably. Use a reg. grip on everything you lift/push overhead, and monkey grip whatever you pull toward you. Because a great deal of your hand strength is affected by tendon strength, you will have to be consistent with this development and patient. The muscles in your hands will develop within months, but tendons take about a year or more to really, really get strong.
