Blake...I found another photo of you looking like a runway model! Should I post it up???

Fox, the sugar/equal holder probably belongs to the Homefires Bakery. Sobo was to drop the folding table off there, along with the coffee pots. And yes, I have a folding chair or two that were left.

would love to see some pictures Dan!

I just got off the phone with the guy who runs the campground...other than the parking situation/more people than I initially told him/Ivan sleeping in the toilet, he thought all at the groupsite were fine. However, there were people camped at other sites that kept him up all night, and these people claimed they were with our group! Anyone going to fess up? They were rowdy/had dogs barking all night/broke beer bottles in the firepit. Anyway, we're going to move the Ropeup to Bridge Creek groupsite next year, as it can take more vehicles. We want to ensure that we can continue to have Ropeup in the Icicle, so we need to respect the people running the place.

yes that was a problem. there were way more cars than I expected! will plan to accommodate next year so that parking is not an issue. also, put no camping signs around the crapper for ivan.

This is the place (with Tokogirl's gracious delivery both mornings!!!) that provided the coffee and baked stuff: http://www.homefiresbakery.com/

[TR] Midnight Rock - The Flame>Traverse 9/30/2008
olyclimber replied to olyclimber's topic in North Cascades
Went back up during Ropeup so we could take a look at Roller coaster. We went up Easter Overhang, and I thrashed around a bit in that. From the ROTC rap, you can drop right into Roller Coaster. Looked hard at the top, and Jeff confirmed this. Then sun went behind the ridge right as he led past the middle of the chimney. Jeff said the top part is eight inches and the "gear to 2 inches" from the current Leavenworth guide is a bit off. He used a number 4 a bit, but it was getting tipped out. Good times, I didn't follow as we didn't have 8 hours for me to thrash up, and we rapped from there and ran down to the party at Eight Mile. -
yeah sounds like that poor guy has what i had. hopefully he'll recover ok. it is amazingly aweful to go through that. i remember surgeons coming in with a sharpie and marking the spread of the infection. i would ask them if they were going to cut it off, and they just looked grim and refused to answer my question.

The good weather resulting in a great turn out this year! Lots of people to thank... Kit Lewis for showing us the old pictures and old climbing movie, if you missed this, you missed out. There was some cool old photos there! Blake for his great slide show. Great pictures Blake, and thanks for this year *and* last year. Tvash for his movie/slideshow. Huge thanks to Tokogirl and Homefires Bakery for coffee and baked goods both mornings! What a difference that made! I believe Homefires is run by a CC.com poster's wife, so next time you are there, stop in! Thanks to Sol for coffee Saturday morning. Unfortunately I still have your coffee maker!!! Thanks to Ketch for being the A/V guy. When Ketch is there, I don't have to worry about that A/V stuff at all...he's the A/V God. Thanks Carl for letting us use your laptop! Thanks to Jim Nelson for helping me get Kit to come out and show slides. Thanks to all that stuck around to clean up afterwards. lastly thanks to everyone who showed up and help kill those kegs. i'm proud of you. Nice to meet a few more of you too! some pictures tomorrow.

The beatings will continue until you get the sight gag. i love my precious coin. the beatings are worth it. fyi, english is a second language to me. i'm much better at grunting and pointing.
-
found these in the back of my truck. would like assistance emptying them.
-
think of it as poetry. you are free to interpret as it as you will. another way you could look at it is that someone is applying the beatings, and another is accepting the money, and both seem satisfied with the arrangement. but that is just one take that occurred to me just now.

BTW, Sol let me know tonight that unfortunately he can't make the slide show (he'll be there Friday night, but not Saturday). So that leaves us with Kit Lewis and Blake showing...and then whomever else has something to show. If you have something good you want to fill Sol's spot with, then PM me. Thanks!
