Pubclub at Hellbent in Lake City. This month only it will be on the Third Thursday instead of Third Wednesday. At Hellbent
-
OK so far Elliot Bay Lake City or Standard Brewing in the CD. @OlympicMtnBoy @bellows @Rad @Alisse any input? Anyone else have a place? I'm getting ready to create a poll for voting. It will be on the third THURSDAY this month so I can come. Come out and get a sticker! They just shipped today so I should have them.
-
Need more suggestions (has to be Seattle area)! Also I may need to tweak this to be a Thursday unless you guys want to it without me. Also, come to Pubclub, get a sticker! But only if you put it on your car or something that gets seen by a lot of people, we need to spread the love about this place! In April Pubclub is coming to Portland!

Fatal avalanche on NE Couloir of Colchuck
olyclimber replied to olyclimber's topic in Climber's Board
Full detailed article about this: https://www.seattletimes.com/life/outdoors/wa-volunteer-details-colchuck-peak-avalanche-search-and-rescue-effort/ You'll need a paywall blocker if you've visited that site too much. Features a ton on @gyselinck who is now a member of Chelan County Mountain Rescue. He was a first responder. Also has a great photo by @John_Scurlock of Colchuck. -
or flavored/edible. maybe add CBD?

The real solution is innovation. Develop, patent, build, market, and sell a reusable TP.
-
Well no thing compares to a big ole deuce 2 feet off the trail. Since you know...if you get more than 2 feet off the trail you'll more than likely need to push the rescue button on your SPOT locator. Yeah, I wish people wouldn't do stupid stuff too. Perhaps the government should step in.
-
Yeah you're probably seeing some changes and some things that don't work. Under construction!

Could edit the TR and manually add like this: Team: @KaskadskyjKozak @olyclimber

Vertical World Redmond closing its doors in April
olyclimber replied to olyclimber's topic in Climbing Gyms
“… We sensed a while back that this was going to happen. When the building was bought by a PE firm out of the Bay area and our lease was coming to an end, it was clear that we were not a desirable tenant for our new landlord and negotiations did not go in our favor. We had a vision of upgrading the entire gym into a first-class facility. Unfortunately it did not work out as we wished. This is not the end of Vertical World on the East Side. We have been through a lot in our history. We get knocked down and fight our way back up. We are not going anywhere. We will back and we will be better for it.” -

Sorry Mick, but probably way crazy and inflation alone. Post is almost 10 years old!

Damn that is a hell of a trip and a great trip report! Love it! That is a full expedition. Thank you for sharing it here. I want to see some video of the tow in. I admire your ethics in human powered but must admit I would ride in to the point it wasn’t legal. 😂 -
UW Climbing wall, Oct. 1976 Sunset Magazine
olyclimber replied to bargainhunter's topic in Climber's Board
Is that Sunset magazine???? https://www.sunset.com/ I remember one time I was there this guy fell off the top of Coach's Crack and landed wrong and snapped his tib/fib! Hands and feet somehow both popped out of that greasy thing at the top. He was braying like a pig in pain in the gravel below. Oh yeah, that was me 😂 -
I've got an addition to the TR tool that allows you to upload a GPX and it will display on a map...but it isn't working for now. I've got to fix and and i'm have a few things compete with my time right now, but hope to get to that this week. For now just don't fill that section in...its optional. I'm going to get the parts that are optional in the TR form labeled as such too. thank you.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing @Priti ! -
We are getting a constant and consistent wave of spam in the forums. Me and the mods are knocking it down, but they keep coming. You can really tell when a forum isn't maintained as it just accumulates. Not here. I'm going to reach out to the software vendor to see if they have any tips for improving our ability to not have it. Thank you to those of you that report it and help us keep that crap off the boards.

I don't know why I just came across this, but I have a copy of the climbing guide that he and Fred Beckey did for Leavenworth. Its more just like a booklet or pamphlet. Definitely a PNW legend. Pretty sure I have at least one of of his SW climbing guides too.
