the dream of the 90's is just another sentimental trip people of my age are taking when they realize they aren't cool anymore. they are now over 30 and realizing they can no longer even trust themselves, given their prior standards (just like the generation before didn't trust anyone over 30, and the generation before that). but you can take a vacation in the Themepark of Cool known as Portlandia, and relive those golden oldies. was that the Sleater Kinney girl wearing sweats with spam? well thats great Dru, but i wasn't asking you to define cool, i was talking about whether or not it was even cool to discuss cool.

there appears to be a lot you don't understand Kev. Like ethics might be specific to an area, crag, or region. Or that the guy already left a mess up there that had to be cleaned up by others and that he already has a track record of lying.

there have always been hipsters, they evolve just like the non-hipsters. it's a bit myopic to pick on this generations hip, like being different just like everyone else is something new. its ok if they are cooler than you are, you don't need to be insecure about it and pick at their scab of awesomeness all the time. but it does make me wonder...are the people who pick on hipsters actually cooler than hipsters? like the average run of the mill skinny jeans wearing single speed riding hipster is at the bottom of the hipster pyramid and at the top you have people looking down and laughing at their puny attempts at cool.

It seems that the instead of making fines, they should instead limit the resorts liability. What do the S&R people think about this?
