    Granite 500

500 posts and still addicted. I would like to thank the person who made all this possible, my evil twin, Lance Granite. For those of you (idiots) who might not know much about my personal (freakshow) life. In 1971, I ate my unborn(evil) brother in the womb. Bad enough I(we) know, but as puberty(barely) hit, my unborn (evil) twin started to speak to( through) me. This made (dating)high school hard, but I(we) lived. I went on to become a(quasi) sucessful gen-x extreme(idiot) athelete and spokesman (retail clerk) for many years. Eventually, I (me, not Lance) started to climb, and I (we) moved (fled across state lines) to Las Vegas. I married a girl(bimbo) who loves (codependantly) me very much. These days the meds are so good that the doctors have let me stay a home and the " bad messages" have now been safely channeled into this website. Thank you and God (damnit) bless all of you. Sorry about that...meds just kicked, oh well.
  2. I have worked a Huey Lewis show... The guy put on a good set, they even had the Delorian!
  3. Check this out...I guess this was eventually a hoax, but still a interesting read. I thought it was stupid at first, but the idea of the time traveler got ahold of me. There are a dozen websites dedicated to John Titor's story, here is the link to one. John Titor. com
  4. Oh great white chalky, scrubber of crimps.... We are not worthy !!! I thought of you today... When I climbed Triassiac Sands in 105 degeree tempatures. For the record we both came home and passed out... my head still hurts.
  5. Home Depot will rent you a 110 volt rotohammer for a reasonabe price. Might as well get a milk crate full of rock and go to town for a couple hours. My pop and I made about 50 granite, mixed river rock and basalt holds for around 20 bucks.
  6. That is my system on 5.12. I'm no hardman, so the clock is ticking when I climb. I only have so much strength. Chalking up all the time wastes time/energy that I need to reach the anchors. If you only grab a non-crux hold for a few seconds, do you need chalk? My weakness forces me to keep moving, to the good rest. Dont get my wrong, I love chalk! I just love climbing more.
  7. Amphitheatre is very Sound of music, with bouldering
  8. Personally, I climb fast and use chalk that others have left behind. Why sit there and futz about? Works pretty good, even down here in the desert.
  9. besthreadyet
  10. We climbed around 20-30 problems...mostly V- fun. I'm not a serious boulderer, but the landings were good. Keep a little stick in your chalk bag to clean the barnicles. The beach is marked I think...south of Ruby beach.
  11. Are you kidding? They would tear each other to shreds.
  12. the climbing is very nice! we spent two days climbing and beachcombing PS: Bigfoot country.
  13. Throw a Gameboy at them and make your getaway!

  15. Shop around, i got a sweet deal on my links and had the chain donated by my local rigging store.

  20. I nominate...Fred Beckey. Nobody comes close, so just give dad the award every year! The guy is like Harry Truman, A true northwest legend.
  21. Don't forget the hick climbs... Senior citizens in space .7 (usually filled with pine needles) Battered Sandwich .9 (flare fun) Robins ramp .7 (dirt pile) The Zipper .10 (perty eazyfer the grade)
  22. as long as it's not this guy's routes... push me
