Unless they did it last weekend, IB is still there. A friend of mine climbed it on Friday.
p.s.
The lower Malmute was shotcreted last weekend because climbers didn't respect the train's right-of-way.
Ultimate Frisbee - I play 3x a week rain or shine.
Riding bikes - Did the STP last year. I haven't been on my MTB in two years -sob-
Skiing - my first full season.
Motorcycles - I just got the damn thing running properly after sitting for the season and mounting new exhaust.
Make gear - like backpacks and haulbags and stuff.
See live music - a lot of different genres
Sedentary friends
General hoodlummery
I have a room devoted to gear. Right now, it's like a gear swimming pool. It can be a little embarrassing when you see how much gear is in there, especially since all the bike stuff is in the garage.
I could rent it out to babysit climbers. It would be like the Ball Room at Ikea.
Treasure bath!
She has a good point - I used to see a guy at the market armed with a few old x-rays to use as kazoos and a plastic trumpet. He drew the crowds because he was a good performer, not a great musician.
How many people stop for a street performer during their normal commute on a busy day? I think the "experiment" was a bit dubious and doesn't really prove anything.
Does that mean that most people would recognize Joshua Bell? I doubt it. There are a lot of famous people I wouldn't recognize if I passed them on the street.
I've tried to explain this to many people when I mention that I listen to classical as well as metal and a ton of other stuff. I dont' really have the musical background necessary to describe the similarities.
In the end, we are left with the typical reaction - more regulation.
I get tired of hearing stories about people who were pressured into buying homes that they couldn't afford and how the government should have stepped in to educate them or bail them out.
Aren't people embarassed that they can't take care of themselves and make smart informed decisions? You probably need more than one consultation and an afternoon to review the situation before signing your name to a $250,000 loan.
Then again, maybe I'm just overly cautious about these things.
