my nipples are hard, my buzz is gone. I'm going to bed.

I'm sobering up and LOL'ing seems trite. Please advise.

Check the Mt. Rainier forum. Look at the sticky for the Mt. Rainier blog. Pay close attention to posts by MIKE GAUTHIER (why the allcaps mike?). Shit yo pants at the carnage.

I'm way past half the bottle. Thanks CBS, sometimes I'm a retard.

I'm sure an admin will move this later, or point at it and say "ha ha!" So a friend has a small winery in Snohomish. He is using synthetic corks (aka rubber) instead of natural corks because they are cheaper an he can't afford any loss due to cork spoilage. Apparently, there is a specific kind of bacteria that is only present in natural corks that spoils wine. Now you know and knowing is half the battle.

I heard the same thing, although there are other options. A friend.. wait, why are we talking about wine here?

I *might* be able to provide some "Russian Standard" for taste testing, but I'm drinking it pretty damn fast. Oh wait, the pic...

You can find a lot of used tools cheap on E-bay thanks to the new Fusions and the Nomics. A lot of folks are jumping ship. Unfortunately, ice tools are pretty personal items. You need to swing them into ice in order to make a decision. Before I bought, I thought I would be getting Cobra's or Vipers. After I had a chance to use a bunch of tools I bought Grivel Tech Wings. They fit the way I wanted to swing an ice tool the best. It sounds wierd but it's true. You can't go wrong with tools like Petzl Quarks or BD Vipers, but you might be happier with something else.

You are a genius, and you shouldn't believe it when everyone on cc.com calls you an idiot. Thanks, CBS - keep posting that great info and not the class-less drivel that clogs this board. If you are looking for class, you are simply in the wrong place. "Don't go looking for good wine under a screw cap"

A long time ago I played Pee-wee football (insert dick joke here). A guy showed up to practice with a gallon jug full of water. This was a re-used milk jug, really, no big deal. Unfortunately for the 12 year old boy who owned said jug, he overlooked removing the sticker on the cap that said "HOMO" the rest of the season did not go well for him and his new nickname.

I'm drunk and I'm not Divot LOL A friend from Moscow brought a 1 liter bottle of "Russian Standard" vodka. I would take a pic and post it, but my camera is in the car... fuggit. Personally, I think that Yuri Dulgiyirki was better, but he tells me that this is the cream of the vodka crop. I'm also partial to Nemiroff Honey and pepper vodka, but he didn't bring me any this time around. Zazdrovia! Oh, and I'm baking pumpkin pies. LOL In exchange, he recieved a 750ml bottle of Hera Dura and another 750 ml bottle of Don Julio Anejo. Fair trade?

When we talk about influence in visual art, you can see the influence in what an artist is doing. I'm not talkign about copying. I'm talking about people continuing on in the same direction that the early artists forged. Iommi is copied by some, but all modern metal was started when that badass got a guitar. You can hear the influence in what today's artists are doing. You can see it in the music when it's written down. What do critics have to do with music. A person's influence isn't judged by someone who's job it is to have an opinion, influence is judged by where your chosen art form is in today and what the contemporary artists are doing with it. as I said before, what Jimi started died. What the others started is alive and well.

Of course it is. I'm on teh internets. It's the only real insult in the e-world.

There's a lot more to some of us than others of us. Since I don't understand wht the hell you are talking about, you must be gay. FAG!

This seems entirely uncalled for. I mentioned pink because it looks like a flamingo (at least to me). No one else was disparaging the design of the tool. Maybe you were in the mood to preach about how close-minded we are. I dunno. I'm gonna go back to something more useful now.

Not yet, I'm practicing my slurred typing for later.

I'm way over three. After getting fired (due to that little contract issue I posted about in the beginning of the month) I got a letter from my ex-employer letting me know that my identity was stolen and that I have to follow up on it. Then, I got a call from my mom letting me know that my uncle broke his pelvis in three places. Then she told me she has to go through another surgery and I'm the one who gets to take care of her for a week afterwards. There's some more stuff, but it's all equally boring. Holy shit! you should solo Thermogenesis!

It takes more thanm 24oz for some of us.

This is patently untrue. You could say "everyone looks good when you are drunk" or "everyone looks good when you have had your eyes burned out with hot pokers" or "everyone looks good when you are a lonely gamer sitting at home on a friday night" But "everybody looks good at 24" is simply not true.

Hendrix did some amazing shit, but I don't think that his direct influence is reflected today. Iommi bred ALL of the modern metal bands. Lennon (and co.) all but invented modern pop Vaughn is responsible for a lot of the blues influences in modern country (blech) Most of Hendrix's influence is spoken by guitarists, but rarely performed, and certainly not in th emajority of recorded music. This is where someone cites Trey Anastasio as a modern recording artist holding the Hendrix tradition. Give me an even ten artists that are still doing the hendrix thing and you win.

Should I be surprised that CBS posted a picture of pink-haired underageed girl covered in pigshit? I hear there was this guy in Canada with a pig farm...

Van Halen was the main protagonist of the 80's guitarwankfests. He was directly responsible for jackass virtuosos applying strange devices like vibrators and electric drills fitted with picks to their instruments. He did have a huge influence, and thankfully, it largely went away. Hendrix, Vaughn, Iommi, and Lennon pretty much defined the genres of today. BTW - Vic Wooten is the shit.
