  1. Another option would be Beyond Fleece's Cold Fusion softshell. About $100 bucks cheaper, and custom. I really want one. Check them out at www.beyondfleece.com

    Nut-Ball YAH!!!

You play the game while Flebbie and I knock off the N. Face of Chair Saturday.
  3. The avalung seems to work, though, on BD's website they have a story about a guy who was caught in an avalanche, used his avalung, and survived. His buddies, not using avalungs, didn't.
  4. I tend to appreciate the large range of the Camalots up to #2, after that, they get pretty heavy.
  5. It's too heavy for my tastes, but then again, nearly everything is. Still, three pounds for 2000ci is a bit inefficient.
  6. Why? Ice ratings are variable by nature. The difficultly depends on the day, as anyone who has climbed ice knows. And the two routes that you have climbed look tough in the conditions that you did them in. (BTW great website)
  7. Is there an exception for RURP?

1330. It is addictive. But my homework is due in 2 hrs. Let me work!
  9. Sounds like Caveman is jealous...
  10. Jesus. And Trask thought the video of the climbers was bad.....
  11. According to my TOPO cd, if you follow Hidden Lake Creek up from the road about 1.5 miles, you come to a steep, north facing slope, that is at about 4100 feet. I wish I had a car....
  12. Yes.
  13. What's an "overhanging slab"?
  14. Sounds like the climbers' log in the Mile O Hotel in Lilloet.
  15. They'll probably go running away crying for mommy when the bombs start falling. People don't get that there never will be peace. Humans aren't genetically programmed to handle peace. History proves this. Come on, people!
  16. Let's see, $90 times 7 is $630. You have too much money. Then again, it's a safer investment than stocks. And I second Mattp's advice about wands. It's also easy to sew a sleeve that you can clip to your pack, use it like a quiver.
  17. Oh, c'mon Trask, you can do better than that. I like your auto-sig though.
  18. Do you have too much money? I get by with two: a homemade daypack (probably 2500-3000 ci), wt 1.3 lbs, and an Arc'teryx Khamsin 62. KISS.
  19. How would you know?
  20. Juggy! Buy me a plane ticket and I'll go do it! to him.
