When is the DVD remaster coming out? Or is it? I hear thru several sources that they were going to re release El Capitan on DVD in fall of 2005, I was stoked but nothing but "rad" sender vids have appeared.

Probably one of my hardest was actually a descent. The first descent of the Icebox variation to waterfalls canyon behind the Kolob Finger canyons from the North fork of timber creek to Kolob arch. Started at 4 am and ended up back at the trail head around midnight. I did the chute variation in 2000 and it took us significantly less time. Both are recommended. Both times I was wasted at the finish.

Wow, alot of new posters or simply new avatars...one can't really be sure, save for the content remains the same. Thanks [you]

Mac's typically arent very MMORPG friendly...but I guess if you buy a Mac you prolly own a console for your gaming pleasure.

Rock candy mtn has some exposures, but the Eocene age basalts arent exactly stellar. They are however a sweet place to find Zeolites, which is why I used to go up there. OH, and some really fun singletrack too!

I gotta chime in with the some oldies but goodies from Ant Rocks (Milton erratic); "Goelzers revenge" ( a story behind it) "Meet my Beat"

Umm, actually no I wasn't intending it to be a post supporting "mannings radical view", although I guess in retrospect the values of the book to encourage something of the ilk. It was just, as mentioned, a digression, tossing out an important book, that affected me in my overall views of wilderness and wilderness lost.
-
I apologize for the digression in advance; At this point, I would like to inject a fine, small tome written in the early 1960's by Renny and Terry Russel, (Renny is today the surviving brother living in Utah and making custom wooden dories) They hit the nail on the head with a touching collection of photos, prose, and quotes about wilderness and its values, past and present. I heartily reccommend this little book as it struck me when I was a youth and still does today about the values of wilderness that really matter. On The Loose ...end of my digression, please continue your thread. Thank you for allowing treehugger to post.

a modified version of a post I deleted because I felt the whisky was talking I felt he was making a point, and I think anyone who thinks from the gut would do the same thing, especially considering the situation, granted I do NOT know what precipitated the original encounter. But what ever.

Stupid mother fucking ass fucks, That fucking camera man needs to have been a bit more assertive and gotten in the faces of of those FUCKING "officers". Did anyone else think..."jesus, man move to a better vantage point?"

Great thread, minor digression on my part. I am in the market for a first gun and obviously classes are key as well as buttloads of practice. There seems to be some pro and some anti glock peopleout there. A buddy of mine says they are super durable under adverse conditions, etc. For those that have a beef, what typicaly is it? I was looking at the glock 22 (40cal). Not a conceal type weapon but since we're on the general topic.

'Cause they know that in order to appeal to folks like you who can't spell they need to use "pitchers"

Prison overcrowding = potential solution.

Looks brutal lance. "Belly full of bad Lattes" perhaps?

Yes sir! That is correct, LOL I almost forgot about that tidbit! I met quite a few local "hardmen/women" that summer (1987) including Todd. Some of the best memories I have are from that season spent on the glorious columns of Mateo Teepee, climbing and meeting people I had only read about. Pope flew out and spend 3 or 4 days with me doing routes and hanging out.
-
Im down with Pope on this, I heard his account at the time of it happening and have no doubt to his experience. As far as "respect for the recently-deceased", I think this is above and beyond that. Nothing has been said to defame him. Relax man and go pray someplace else.

We need a little background.. after suffering thru the initial viewing I believe we deserve it. TYVM

Sadly, because of a past incident, the dog will un adoptable and remain in the pound until the trial is over, after that it will be put down. Another case of ignorant people owning an animal, makes me angry and sick to see that. Too bad the dog didnt do a "bite" around and snap of the guys dick.

I am in the middle of my two week jury duty session (my two weeks in the barrel) and its been pretty fun. Fortunately my employer(Starbucks)pays me my normal wage for 10 days. Alot of time spent on "breaks" but its been cool thus far and I would definitely do it again. I noticed that if you just sit during jury selection and say nothing but look on purposefully they typically choose you, where if you say nearly anything that "might" be a conflict of interest, they usually cast you back in the pool.

Dude, he was obviously above it thinking it was simply jammed.

Actually, that is the page that caused me to question my initial call. It's this statement: CAUTION There are many species of mushrooms in the Amanita genus which are not psychoactive. Some are deadly poisonous while others are edible. Which ones of the Amanita genus would this one be confused with that are deadly? I don't know of any... LINK, again within Erowid. BUT alot of the ones they link pics of dont remotely resemble Muscaria
