  1. There is a law pertaining to trucks in Washington. The law says trucks must stay in the right two lanes, but it is seldom, if ever, enforced. I don't know about cars.
  2. It looks like the Monster just ate your arm! Next frame you draw out a nub.
  3. Don't you know it!
  4. If you are lucky enough to have a car with a frame around the window, you can just shut some plastic in the door, but it seems you were not so lucky, were you?
  5. foolscongress- pullinfool, just a couple more fools.
  6. Camera tilt doesn't matter at Vantage where every one knows that virtually all the climbs are dead vertical.

    5000 for Mr E

Considering king_of_freshiez is fictitious, that would put me at #3, with no realistic hope of ever overtaking Iain. It's a good thing GregW fell by the wayside.
  8. Did you ever pick up your room?
  9. Well the Seattle Times Obit was better written.
  10. I take 520 east every day. If you hit it before 7 am, it's a breeze. I never come back that way. I go around the north end of the lake to Shoreline.
  11. I'm thinking of getting one of the old Camalot #4.5 cams just because they're on sale. Question is, "how much would I use it?". I've already used my #4 a couple times. I happen to like chimneys, but can't really say I've ever attempted a true hard offwidth. I supposed if I keep going to Vantage, I'd find plenty of climbs in which to use a 4.5. Anyone out there own one of these monsters? If so, how many times have you used it?
  12. Regardless of tilt, those are some great action shots. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
  13. Another new emoticon is needed to go with the vomicon, except I don't have the slightest idea how you connote clogged arteries with an emoticon.
  14. The word is out that Yoder and Ford's new Tieton guide is finished.
  15. Those are some great ideas. I plan to implement the cam retract idea right away. Maybe I am short on coffee this morning, but it took me a few seconds to figure out you meant "leash".
  16. Did you lead that one Catbird? I would have found the beginning chimney section a little spicy to lead, but I don't do wide cracks (wink wink nudge nudge) so I let the MisterE wide-crack machine tackle that one. That climb is incredible; chimney, hand crack, finger crack, layback, and slab all packed into one 40m package. Sweet. Success came as a result of having a Camalot #4 and not thinking about it too long before launch.

  18. Now there is a chap who KNOWS where his priorities lie.
  19. Do you carry your slings around your shoulders frequently when you climb? Second, do you sweat a lot? The reason I ask is that, while aluminum is remarkably corrosion resistant, it is attacked quite avidly by ordinary salt. There may be enough salt saturating your slings to cause corrosion if the slings and biners lay in contact with one another for an extended period of time, such as in a bag left in a damp place. I suggest that you rinse all your slings and biners in fresh water and always store them in a dry place with good air circulation.
  20. Um, no. There ARE anatomy texts available for the challenged.
  21. That would suck if the ass were three sizes too big.
  22. We got in one day of climbing at Intersection Rock on the 27th and it was great. We did Bat Crack, 5.5(MA), Mike's books, 5.6, and the Flake 5.8. It rained hard on the 28th, so we played tourist in town. On the 29th it was still too windy and cold for my likes, but we did get in some nice hikes and had fun all the same. Wish I could have stayed longer.
  23. I met a fellow who said he climbed Rainier with Ed Viesturs and Peter Whittaker. Ed was working as a guide for RMI. The clients all paid triple the usual rate.
  24. Seems like we've heard this story before.
  25. It sure is starting to look like a "class effect" for the COX2 inhibitors. I plan to continue to take naproxyn for occasional pain. You'd have to take it every day for chronic pain to increase your risk of heart attack or stroke.
