  3. Link this ups the ante huge. " Ukraine offers satellite defence co-operation with Europe and US Ukraine inflamed mounting East-West tensions yesterday by offering up a Soviet-built satellite facility as part of the European missile defence system. By Damien McElroy in Tbilisi Last Updated: 10:55AM BST 18 Aug 2008 Russian troops to withdraw from Georgia at noon today, according to the country's president. ; The proposal, made amid growing outrage among Russia's neighbours over its military campaign in Georgia, could see Ukraine added to Moscow's nuclear hitlist. A Russian general declared Poland a target for its arsenal after Warsaw signed a deal with Washington to host interceptor missiles for America's anti-nuclear shield. The move came as the Russian president, Dmitry Medvedev, signed a cease-fire deal that sets the stage for a Russian troop withdrawal after more than a week of warfare with its neighbour Georgia. The deal calls for both Russian and Georgian forces to pull back to positions they held before fighting erupted on August 8. As of last night, though, there was little apparent evidence of a Russian pull-out from the Georgian town of Gori, which Russian tanks and troops took last weekend. Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, insisted a broader withdrawal would be contingent on further security measures. Just hours before Mr Medvedev put his signature to the ceasefire deal, Russian forces blew up a Georgian railway bridge on the main line west of the capital, Tbilisi, an act that critics interpreted as a malacious attempt to cripple the country's infrastructure. Moscow at first issued a denial, but television footage shot by the Reuters news agency clearly showed the bridge's twisted remains. Ukraine said it was ready to give both Europe and America access to its missile warning systems after Russia earlier annulled a 1992 cooperation agreement involving two satellite tracking stations. Previously, the stations were part of Russia's early-warning system for missiles coming from Europe. "The fact that Ukraine is no longer a party to the 1992 agreement allows it to launch active cooperation with European countries to integrate its information," a statement from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said. It follows a declaration earlier this week from Ukraine's pro-Western president, Viktor Yushchenko, that the Russian naval lease of the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Sebastopol would be scrapped if any vessels joined the conflict in Georgia. The crisis over Russia's display of military might in Georgia has alarmed ex-Soviet satellites states in a broad arc from the Baltics to Central Asia. Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, all of which harbour bitter memories of Soviet occupation, have expressed solidarity with the Georgian position. Yesterday President George W. Bush hailed what he saw as progress in resolving the Georgia crisis, describing the ceasefire agreement as "a hopeful step." He reiterated, though, that the disputed regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia remained part of Georgia, despite Moscow's insistence that they should now be allowed to become part of Russia. "There's no room for debate on this matter," said Mr Bush. "The international community is clear that South Ossetia and Abkhazia are part of Georgia and the US fully recognises this reality." Meanwhile, disturbing reports of abuse of ethnic Georgians in captured parts of the disputed region emerged. A group of captive soldiers were paraded in the streets of the South Ossetian capital, Tskinvali, and the bodies of at least 40 dead troops rotted in the sun. Teams of ethnic Georgians, some under armed guard, were forced to clean the streets. It was the first apparent evidence of humiliation or abuse of Georgians in the Russian-controlled breakaway republic.
  4. "Mount Hood $0.00 With gas and adventuring at all time highs, we’ve decided that the mountains have to come to us. We grabbed up a bit of real estate over the last year and now we’re giving you the chance to pick up a mountain or two to make everything more convenient for ya. Hate to waste gas money just getting to these places, right? So our first mountain we’re selling is a dormant volcano in Oregon, some of you may recognize it as that 11,000 footer with a decent chance of eruption sometime in the next 30 years, but others may be only thinking of the dozen or so glaciers the mountain possesses or even the great skiing. A relatively “easy” climb (if there is such a thing) makes it a popular destination- not that you’ll have to worry about crowds once you own the place, right?" Price is right too. Link to actually purchase
  5. Nice stuff Blake!

  7. OMG thats a funny Craigslist ad Erik! great find. Dude just needs to pony up some scratch for all that. NSFW 1prRxpgXFbs&feature=related For posterity, as it will most likely be deleted soon, the ad says: "Want it from behind while you play Super Mario Brothers ? - m4w Date: 2008-07-02, 2:35PM EDT Do you love to play Super Mario Brothers on the Classic Nintendo System? Do you like to get tagged from behind while you do it? This is the post for you then. You must know your way around the game before we meet, must be open to anal sex, also able to fake an orgasm is a plus. I will send you the address to a hotel and a room number. When you arrive the door will be open. Please come in close and lock the door and close the shades if they are still open. I will be in the bathroom and the door will be closed. Turn on the TV and the Nintendo. Remove all of your clothing. Turn off all lights in the room and kneel down on the bed so you are directly in the light of the TV. You need to be facing the TV with your butt in the air pointed toward the pillows on the bed. Press the start button on the controller when you are ready. I will hear the sound and turn the light off in the bathroom and come out. You will not look directly at me, only look at the TV. When the first level starts I will begin to finger you and lick you. I will be using lots of lube as well. When you reach the end of level one, make sure to trigger the fireworks. This is vital to the entire experience. I must hear the fireworks. When level 2 begins and Mario walks into the pipe, I will penetrate you. You may say things like, "MORE", "HARDER", "YES", "FUCK ME", but nothing else. I will continue having sex until the level ends. DO NOT take the secret level skip. If you die I will pull out and spank you until the level restarts. When you reach the flag you must again trigger the fireworks, and also orgasm. I will pull out. When the 1-3 starts I will penetrate your ass. You are allowed to say something like "OH GOD", "YES", OR "IT HURTS" no other conversation is allowed. When level 1-4 starts I will alternate between holes as I see fit. You may beg me to cum inside or outside of you, depending on what you want. When boss falls and you reach the princess I will pull out and blow my load where you have convinced me I want too. You may then say something like "Thanks", "It was great", "I loved it", "Don't stop" If I am impressed you may continue playing and I will continue to pleasure you. If I am not, I will turn the Nintendo Off and return to the bathroom. At this time you may clean your self with the towel that is beside the bed. Turn the lights on, redress yourself and leave. I may come back out and talk to you as you dress but the conversation will most likely be short and revolve around scheduling another time to get together. * Location: Orlando * it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests PostingID: 740493470 "

  9. I just voted this "Best thread revival" of August 2008.
  10. I think ya'll are buyin into the bullshit the fake news is stuffing down your throats. This kind of shit happens every few min in the US. Seriously, from your memory, how many deaths can you attribute to someone walking into a grow operation? Didn't some guy just get mauled by a cougar while on a run? Shit, you're probably more likely to get nailed by a bear or cougar...or an asteroid. Just cause someone is growing dope doesn't mean they are murderers. P..L..E..A..S..EEEE! If you want to look up stats, go look up the number of people killed by wasps last year alone. I got nailed twice just last year, one of them I got stung an estimated 300 times while on rappel. There's a stat you can take to the bank. (or the grave as the case may be)
  11. Give that they are republicans I'm guessing that the uniform starts out something like this....you know, kind of a retro 60's sexy thing. Hmmm, the first choice was kind of large. Had to replace it with this, but you get the idea. Good luck with your choices Carolyn, remember that men, especially powerful men in particular, will tip substantially more if you gently touch them and smile as you take their orders. My bro bartended some in college and use to hit some high end events, he use to watch this happen all night long, then later there was actual studies that confirmed it. The worst thing to do is to get so busy that you start getting that harried look thinking about yourself, and don't focus on your customers and their needs. It's a damn difficult thing to pull off successfully as your shoes are making your feet scream in pain and you're running on fumes at 1am after a 8 hour+ day while only getting 4 hours of sleep the previous night...but that's the job eh? Hopefully you can make it work and bank the scratch. God luck!
  12. 40 years? Damn dude, you're like.....old. Whats your name? I think I know everyone else who has posted on this thread so far. Anyway, welcome to the cc.flamefest:-). I see you finally found how to work the caps lock and get it off! If you click the smily face above, you can add lil things to your post like that rolling smily face thing I just put in there. Pink goes a few steps beyond that and finds all kinds of stuff to pop up inside his posts. Mike, love to see a Salethe TR when you guys get her done!
  13. So giving the maturity of the operation, length of time based on the efforts (terracing etc etc) sounds like you are projecting that they killed a lot of folks there with some invisible weapons eh? Cause the LEOs always list the case and guns found to make it a bigger deal than it usually is. Since they didn't list any guns, they must have been invisible? Said "In addition to the marijuana, agents removed more than 1,000 pounds of garbage, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, irrigation piping, and propane canisters." Funny they don't mention guns. Say, you still projecting Hillary as the solid winner for pres too?

    For MattP

Don't know who was flaming whom. Must have been taking a nap. In my world we cover everyone at work, it averages just under $300 a person at Kaiser. However, they have like a $15 deductible each trip. I actually think that Jayb has made a better choice with the large deductible, but that's not what you get or the way it happens when you let the employees pick the plan. They wanted it simple and cheap (for them), and looked at several options. It does cost a bit more. Next thing you know, they're damn happy and don't want to leave and you're make money hand over fist off their efforts. What were we talkin about?
  16. OP asked "Anyone familiar" with the area. So PC replied: He means this (posting extra slowly for ya:-) Please note possible actually 44" tires.
  17. I sense a new campground under the overpass's about to open up....How much $$ for a night? The collapse thing could help reduce the homeless issue and if you swing it right you can get a per head fee for every homeless person you permanently get off the streets. Mo money. Mo money the movie with the great Damon Wayons: Mo money, Mo money, Mo money...yo. Mo money the climb: Mo money the attitude:
  18. Totally concur. In fact, the biggest impediment to free climbing with them is getting over the mental block and just taking them, they do great and you'll find all kinds of placements, even on routes you've done many times with regular cams, once they are on the rack and you have them available!
  19. Another new sign? You know....Erik the ranger, before he left, had once told me that he thought too many signs were a bad thing in a park. He had lots of reasons and examples behind this, but the bottom line was that once you get enough signs, not only have you radically changed the character of a place for the worse, but then no one reads any of the signs and they all loose the impact you wanted to start with. He had mentioned a bunch of signs that he could have installed but had passed on for that reason. I thought about it for a while, and believe now he pretty much had that nailed. If you want to pass this on to the new sign-installing ranger and rangerette, that's more than fine. Eriks still available if she or they want his opinion or to confirm the factuality of this. It's not like he was to stupid to know to install of these signs. He had considered and rejected it so as to maintain the character of the park. ps, wasn't me either:-)
  20. Just you. You've probably just been drinking again....like me tonight.....
  21. Ha ha, I was thinkin' you might say something like that. Is there a bitch I can talk to to get it changed back? I'll say somthing nice about you sometime....
  22. Nice soliloquy. BTW Porter, I see you changed my moniker under my name from Couchmaster to "original routesetter", what the hell is this, did you finally catch on that I've been doing your sister all these years?

Thanks Matt. Yeah, from the outside looking in Hillary round one on healthcare looked marginal at best, horrendous at worst. 2nd go round, from what I could see, and I didn't look too closely, looked like it was much better thought out and planned. It turned my opinion around 180 degrees on the subject. I know there may have been times I've been less than generous towards her, but I was very impressed with Hillary's choice of advisor's to work on that project. Maybe she'll transfer to over to Obama or McCain. Shes still a sitting senator.
  24. The right hand version was a great way to access the pitch that ends near the corner. Well, it was till our bolts got whacked. I have not seen a soul on it since.
  25. Your link doesn't go to the specs Shaolung (shear and tension). Traditionally, wedge anchors outperform sleeve anchors in both. You sait seems better, but can you find and post both test reports for us to peruse? That's a good price for a Powers SS 5 piece Supersparky, $3.40 each, however, although it would work fine, it still seems pretty short at 2-1/4" long, can you not at least get the 3/8 x 3"? (BTW, most of the handdrilled steel 3/8 bolts when the transition to 3/8 from 1/4" was happening were 1-3/4 and 2-1/4 long and I've never heard of a failure of a single one of these, it's more for staying with what is common) That would be THE bolt for the granite up there. OK, edited to say if you click the link in the link then the link shows 600 kn and 1000 kn for the 3/8 sleeve anchors. That's probably the working load, not the ultimate load, and is unusual in that there is no length correlation (longer is stronger by a bit in each diameter). The factor between working ad ultimate is usually X4, but it is arbitrary and you would want to double check that. Sleeve anchors usually are a bit (not a huge bit) weaker than wedge anchors, yet are easier to install and are known to not spin like wedge anchors can do.
