*** You are ignoring this user *** Poor form. One cannot be a true sprayer until you can take the heat. IMO. You are incorrect, sir. It is always good form to ignore Dru, in all of his manifestations... Oh, do you mean the two different versions of him that are in the top 10, or the whole motley pack of avatars that bear his mark? I'm afraid the man is in a class all his own.

Here's a history lesson for you: Do a user search for Trask. Best you should have a few hours and at least a six pack handy. It's possible he was wiped from the system though, then you'll have to settle for campfire stories from veterans of the Trask years...

Here's the soundtrack for that... [video:youtube]

Thanks Jon, I'm behind you on this issue 100%, and I've been writing to my elected officials. Anyone in Jamie Herrera's district should write to her, she's on the side of the copyright clowns at this point in time.

I was gonna ban the lot of you just for making me look at this shit show. A handful of folks have made much of Spray no damn fun, but then TTK went and self edited. A pox on both your houses, think twice before you try and use me as a pawn in your stupid games.

I'm really sorry to hear it Sobo, here's to Phydeaux and cat people in general I know how you're feeling. On the bright side, this means that now you can get some kittens! A friend of mine just fostered a new mom cat from the shelter while the kittens grew, then she kept two of them (pick of the litter) and the others and their mom got swiftly adopted on the basis of the glowing reviews she wrote of them. This is my plan for the next time a position opens up in my household.

Anecdotally, I know several people my age who attribute these sort of programs with changing the paths of their lives and averting personal disaster, though I do think it was more of a residential school program than a one month session in the woods.

I'd have to say I pretty much agree with the Dawg on this, and the little things do matter. My own recent encounter was flying with my 92 year old mother in law, who TSA made stand up on the rubber mat with her feet in the yellow foot marks (she's tiny, the wide stance almost made her fall over) while they did the whole physical search routine, complete with "I'm putting my finger inside your underwear" and "I'll be running the back of my hand over your genitals." Boy howdy did that make me feel safer and more impressed with security in America. Its these little erosions that create the security state, and its really less about your safety and more about control. Sure, its not as bad as Syria for example, but I don't think that's a valid argument. Bit by bit, your rights as a citizen are chipped away.

Nice to see you have some ambitions, a little room to grow. You've got the jaded rude poser thing down pretty pat, time to stop resting on your laurels and up your game a notch.

I'm not belittling the idea, I'm just trying to express my inadequacy at having an appropriate response. A fund is a great idea and I'm behind it 100%, I just wish there was more I could do.

You know, a lot of folks here are just crag climbers. Perhaps we could just all gather at Camp Muir some Saturday? In all seriousness, I'm down with a fund. Children age 2 and 4? Ho man but a fund is just a band aid, but what else can us not-personally-connected average joe's offer?

jay, do you think consumption is the only threat offered by tranagenic foods? Do you know anyone feeding soymilk totheir children in bpa free bottles? Do you know any conservatives obsessed with islamofascism who can't create a secure password?

if you think that's a rebuttle, you're weaker than you think

"free aid" is an oxymoron

Good point Feck, I always solicit RuMR's advice on alpine routes.

Oh, but its been awhile since we've had such a grand sprayocalypse, jolly good show.

Sobo will. Sobo will click anything.

Thanks Chris. I share your perspective, so naturally I find I agree with you. Some others won't, and that's their right, but I'd like to remind everyone we're in the Climbers Board and I'd like to see a greater degree civility than this sort of thing often exhibits.

Did you find it yet? Does Jesus have it behind the couch?

I saw it when the Best of the Banff film festival ran through Olympia. Great film, especially if you've experienced winter mountaineering and wondered just what the hell you were doing out there, but its not the sort of uplifting thing that's gonna make your date's eyes twinkle and squeeze your biceps.
