  1. we briefly considered muscling some of them giant boulders into the road to delay yer departure never could make out your ant-sized ass all the way over there
  2. what the fuck, can't figure out how to tie into the new version of this harness - they lost the buckle in favor of a dipshit webbign closure system - do you just tie in through the leg loop and behind the webbing? or is it supposed to be wound through the eyes on either end of the harness too? their website is bullshit...
  3. enjoyed my first trip out there just fine - better than sex, coecocounut bridge, dragonspine, excalibur, trench warfare n' rad/plaid/glad - the scruffy approach trail is great prep for the routes! great work there bill, and my apologizes for breaking one of the 2 reading room chairs w/ my gargantuan ass
  4. it freaks me out b/c once i fell, solo, all the way from the top of the w crater rim down to just above the hot rocks, yet walked away w/o even a scratch - i picked up so much spend on the initial fall that, even though i eventually got my axe in, it did nothing until the angle finally eased up at the bottom. was he wearing a helmet?

  13. his beacon routes are some of my favorites, and my hazy recollections of meeting him are nothing but positive "wise king, do not grieve. it is always better to avenge dear ones, than to indulge in mourning for everyone of us, living in this world means waiting for our end. let he who can achieve glory before death. when a warrior is gone, that will be his best and only bulwark."
  14. holy shit! that dude was an animal. was he on the dog route? heard conflicting things north vs south side. terrible.

    Problems in Cheeseland

i've had the pleasure of working in 3 school systems where the union was mostly unnecessary, but that hardly means that public unions should just fuck off - some bosses can be koch-smokers, and some systems ready to throw their employees on the fire before cutting other unnecessary costs - the union needs to be there for when shit is fucked up.

    Problems in Cheeseland

    1. i understand my union's needs will vie against the many other interests that make up the american state, large and small, and that, as american general political philosophy holds, the majority is not necessarily right, and, as a minority perhaps, i must continue to contend for my own. that many people who work in the private sector, particularly in its lower echelons, where it's currently being squeezed the most, should begrudge public employees is hardly a suprise. as always in a republic, my union must continue to agitate, organize, expand, educate and act in the interests of its members. it may well be that many who feel an attraction to public work are in fact more socialist in their political philosophies. ours is a mixed system, and capitalism will always be a pole striving to some extent against us evil, evil left-of-center types. whatever. in the end i'm more moderate than anything, and w/ a limited life-span, i'll suffer the slings-and-arrows of the next 50 years as best i can, hopefully keeping my pennant flying until my own ship founders and i cease giving a fuck. the death of my union is likewise not inevitable, but organized labor itself i can't ever imagine dying off until the race that created it likewise is gone... 2. no shit! therein lies the unending battle.
