I have been to Pakistan. I was with Greg for about 5-7 days. I visited Korphe. The children there at the time thought he was a god. The village people did too. This thing about receipts in Pakistan and performing an audit. Um. Most people don't know how to read there. And writing a receipt? That is a joke. People don't even have paper. Let alone, can write. It's not really about bribes...it that there is no basis for doing an audit becuase you can't create a paper trail. People don't even wipe their butts with TP. There really is none. The only thing that really gets me is how did Greg "stumble" into Korphe from K2. I have been along that river and been to Concordia and the Gasherbrum valley. If Greg "stumbled" into Korphe, he would have had to gone through Askole. There is absolutely NO BRIDGE before that to Korphe becuase it is on the south side of the river. The trail is on the north side of the river...the south side has 2 or 3 large sections that you must traverse rock climb to get to Korphe...hence why the trail is on the north side of the river. I don't get that part.

my feet sweat a lot too. some suggestions: Use foot powder and see what that does to stop the sweating and the blisters. Many times I will use duct tape for heel blisters. First you gotta shave the hair off your feet, and around the ankle. then wrap the duct tape lightly, not tightly around your ankle to make sure the heel is covered...sometimes the duct tape goes underneath the foot....just like the athletic trainers wrap ankles for football. Why so much? So the duct tape does not move while your foot is in the boot. I have found no other way to stop the movement of any kind of tape. Why shave your foot of hair? So when you take the duct tape off, it does not hurt.

I remember the pain 15 years ago. The roughest was the 3 days after the surgery. Then nothing. I did my exercises from the PT starting on day 3. Took 3 months to get my muscles back. Do your PT exercises! Seriously! I wear a real darned good brace when skiing now. And there have been several times I have been thankful for that brace. But I do not use the brace for anything else. Mine was a full replacement.

I am interested in julbos if not sold.

This just started this week. I am running Internet Explorer 9 on two different pcs. When I go onto cascadeclimbers.com on each of the two different computers, my IE9 stops functioning altogether. It does not “crash”. But nothing works. Its like it is frozen. The only way for me to redo is to go to TASK MANAGER and then END TASK the application. How am I sending this message to you? Via Google Chrome. I have been using IE9 for several months now. I have not tried to see if Firefox has a problem. I do not think this IE9 is my problem and I wonder if other people are having the same problem?

I skied for one day at the Missoula Ski bowl this year near the very end of the ski season. What I really liked was that at the bar after the day...practically everybody knew, well, everybody knew everybody there...now that is a local hill.
