    Question

I think it is Long Mountain if I am looking at the right one you are speaking of.
  4. ouch....PTSD.....
  5. This discussion would never have occurred in France. If you are slow, the faster people will climb OVER you. No kidding. Happens in the Alps too with the guides.
  6. You don't hear that many rescues of recreational users by the Coast Guard becuase they happen often. Does the Coast Guard charge for recreational user rescues?
  7. Well, actually the season should be coming to an apex right now shouldn't it? Where is the webpage showing the progress? Who is the team?

    Boycott Newsweek

I am amazed at how many of you trust any words coming out of the military. Or even the CIA. Deception is a way of their life.
  9. very good read.
  10. Good job guys! Sorry I couldn't make it! Great report Paul.
  11. When I went...I recommend it this way.... July 4th was on a Monday. So most people climbed Sat(the 2nd), Sun(the 3rd), and Mon(the 4th). We climbed it Sun(the 3rd), Mon(the 4th), and Tue(the 5th). We liked it becuase NO ONE was on the same itinerary we were. I am talking NO ONE. And becuase so many other people had been up there one day before we were using their steps they had placed--that was very nice!
  12. Don't forget to bring a bike. After Goldmyer there appears to be a washout only driveable by high clearance 4WD vehicles--you don't want to damage those joints again!
  13. Jack in one day is no easy task--even with the route you took. Good job.
  14. 3 year engagement? Sounds like somebody was not really into making the final dive into marriage...or it could be the both of them. Who gets engaged for 3 years?

  16. I like to shave in the car to work -- with an electric razor. At least it is not a cellphone.
  17. Whoa. Never knew one could see that much. Mucho time to figure that out.

    oi!
  19. nice pics! thanks for sharing!
  20. I agree completely. It also allows the most successful ascent of whatever you are doing. The earlier you are there, the more time you allowed to screw up on a route, and spend time in deep snow conditions.
  21. I am in the same boat with Klenke on one of his peaks. Three tries on Malachite. Zero summits.
  22. nice!
