    Treehouses

any treehouses that anybody knows to rent for a night? Would love to take my kids to one for a little excursion. I don't have good enough trees in my yard to build a treehouse.
  3. I think you are right....but this country will not vote in a woman. Rice. No way. First this country needs a black man to accept as president before it accepts a black woman. That's just culture. Sick. But true. P.S. people are getting more and more tired of this Iraq thing and Rice is too connected to it.
  4. I never heard that one before. Liberals believe that individuals should be free to do whatever they please on the free market, within the law. Liberalism is more open to progress and change. Conservatives look to conserve traditions and truths from the past. Based on those explanations I gave above, if you are a conservative, then you would have been against women voting, and against segregation in schools. I guess women voting and segregation of schools were only emotional issues for liberals when these issues became hot topics in our nation.
  5. Ummmmm..... Iraq had to prove they did not have WMD. They had to prove they destroyed those weapons. It was part of the UN negotiation at the end of the first Iraq war. Why they made it difficult for the inspectors over so many years????? I have no idea. Fact is: Iraq had to prove they had not WMD. The UN did not have to prove they had WMD. There is a subtle difference but important one between the two.
  6. You guys throw your shit continuously and think it will stick. Just because you say Bush is a liar over and over again ad nauseum does not make it true, nor does it mean that the American public believes it to be true. What you can't take is that this is the case. Well, it is. You've failed to convince the American public. Deal with it. And no amount of the "press" parroting your accusations will change that. So enjoy your sour grapes. You must generally agree with how your tax dollars are spent. As well as your future tax dollars. Remember, 1/3 of your tax dollars are spent on paying interest. Interest does not go back to the general infrastructure. Who holds a lot of the U.S. debt these days? China. That 1/3 of your tax dollars for interest is rising too.
  7. I know this is late in the thread....but people were talking about voting fraud and problems with the voting. Please remember people that with each vote there is a large amount of volunteers. Volunteers make mistakes. They are not paid. If you want perfection in votes you will have to pay for wages of people who are willing to return for the amount of pay. They only way that will happen is if you the public allows for higher taxes to pay for those people. Volunteers make up a large part of the public voting process. They make mistaks.
  8. Talk about hardass. Here is a quote: "There, at 8,000 meters. Steve took off his his boots to dry off his socks in the sun and Vince took a 5 minute nap." Sounds fricken balmy at 8000 meters.
  9. Yeah. Was worth the effort. Would have liked to take three days to do it. Two days was a bit much. I think 4 days would have been overkill.
  10. I have been there. Up the standard route. Camped at Triumph pass. Took me two days round trip. First day did Triumph via standard route. Second day did Despair and some bumps along the way and back to car. It is always nicer to do it in three days...but if you do not have the time.....hint: to do it in two days requires good physical shape for that amount of distance. Hardest part was the traverse back from Triumph Pass along scree to the lakes.
  11. What would you say is the average round trip time to climb the standard route (NW) ridge of Broken Top from car to car. No records. Just trying to see if it fits within my schedule. thanks in advance.
  12. Wow. I was in Fisher basin the day before you. We did Little Johannesburg via the scramble route. That basin is beautiful.
  13. I help make the bell curve what it is!
  14. Phew. I did not buy. But you scared me there for a minute. Stock was halted from trading due to FDA ruling.

    Question

I am also uninformed about Jewish tradition. But here is a little thing I have learned. The Jewish synogogues that were destroyed by Germans and still remain intact in Poland (they are just empty shells now) are considered holy sites. There are pilgrims that visit these sites, or empty shells. My guess is that it is a big no-no to destroy a synogogue....... Ahhh. But bunglehead has enlightened me even more. I guess it is okay to destroy a synogogue.

  17. Looking for insight. Why should I not buy this stock?
  18. Green tea. In fact the tea bag is broken, so I am drinking tea leaves. Too lazy to clean it out. Thought I might get more antioxidants this way.

    knee jerk reaction

Thank God my belief that social security will not be there in 30 years is coming more and more to fruition!
  20. That's why I mostly acquiesce. Revolution. That sucks. If the electorate was more like me, I guess I wouldn't complain as much.
  21. While I was looking at my fabulous self after taking a shat this afternoon, I wondered, what color is a mirror? If a mirror reflects all, what color could it have?
  22. I have recently heard: If you want things the same, vote Democrat or Republican. If you want something different vote a different party. I really cannot fathom this one becuase I still think the the person voted in, regardless of their "party" will end up the same. No?
  23. I can be more anal!
  24. How do you take surveys to determine the amount of pirates?
  25. Good examples. That's why I asked. "The vote with your dollar" is a very good example. Government often works with these organizations and is often influenced by them. I like that example.
