  1. thanks for sharing with us. the last person i saw lead air guitar placed 12 pieces, but i know it was a lot for that route. i'm curious, what kind of rope were you using? just another link in the complex system of making climbing safer ...
  2. or just use a better pack. i see people using packs at vw.

Are we going to put tape on our helmets with our screennames on them and wear them around the campsite? who wears helmets? (duh!) how about we ladies just put the tape on our asses since we know that's where you guys'll be looking anyway.
  5. i was at the coulee yesterday with a friend. we made a quick stop at the portapotties before going back to the feathers to climb. there was only one other vehicle there and when we left the lot it had taken off, leaving a guy in a down jacket and a hat standing there with a pack or two. i wonder if that was erden ... what an eerie feeling. eerie and sad.
  6. whoa; are those pics really from this weekend? i'm so jealous ...
  7. yeah; some of us ... we just can't stay away.

  12. quote: Originally posted by sk: also good for people watching. I love how a full moon brings all my "wierdo" brethren out of the wood work what about your "weirdo" sistuhz??? frenchman coulee under a full moon is gonna be fun as all heck!
  13. is it really your b-day? where's the partee at???
  14. trask, i think they might be better off if you can do something to relax their little fingers after climbing those tough cracks all day.
  15. trask, it wasn't your actual choice of words. (my ears are not that clean!) it was the imagery that was giving me the shakes.
  16. trask, i am apalled! happy birthday, erik!!!

  18. WOOHOO!
  19. i'm guessing there will be quite a few people climbing the coulee this weekend. you might just drive up and find a partner ...
  20. so ... who all's going to the party?

It seems as if you are the dork trap here. sk, learn how to ski! everything you can do on a snowboard is way cooler on skis. bachelor is an awesome place to go - plenty of great terrain in a concentrated area. of course, if you lived in seattle, i'd say go to whistler/blackcomb (which is an awesome place to learn, too!) ... but there'll be plenty of time for that later.
  22. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: Berchesgaden is pretty cool as well. I third that vote. Berchtesgaden and Lake Chiemsee are beautiful! BTW, I think Vantage is more amenable to group roping up than L-worth. My two pfennigs.
  23. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: You're making up excuses. Get out there and take more whippers. i'm sure i will. and i'm definitely not blaming my fall on the shoes. my feet were solid (when i had something to put them on); it's my arms that gave out!
  24. climbers with class ... wish there were more of those around!
  25. quote: Originally posted by Cpt.Caveman: I like to practice leading in my sneakers. It's a regular deal and improves my footwork. You didn't go to Moon Rox? Wildcat Cliff is intimidating but if you have a ropegun it's good too. mountain masters suck for edging! i didn't have a ropegun with me. why weren't you there???
