WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Remote cabins in WA?

Recommended Posts

There's some yurts in the Wallowas too. I think they're privately owned though but they are for skiing.

He can't cross the border because he might get violated by the TSA after that interview he gave.

East of Republic in the Kettle Range the FS maintains a very cool cabin that has good backcountry skiing in huge old burns on ~7000' peaks. It was cheap a long time ago. Take 3ish? hours to ski into. Reservable and cheap.

summer or winter? I guess winter...

but if you can get to them you will have them all to yourself...Tungsten, Sheep Lake, Freezeout Creek.

The north cascades heli skiing has one in Indiana Basin...pay them money. About 17 miles on skis one way.

I've stayed at Freezeout and Tungsten...rustic (ie, rodent friendly). I'm guessing Sheep Lake is near Sheep Mountain (boundary trail). Haven't been to that one.
