jon Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I know this is hard to believe but we have finally upgraded our photo gallery. You should find better stability and some enhancements. We will post info on those enhancements soon. If you notice any weirdness in the photo gallery or anywhere else on cc.com that uses the photo gallery, please let us know. So far everything tested has worked. One last note that is actually rather important that we will have more on later. Please take the time to give appropriate titles, descriptions, and keywords to every photo that you post. This makes it much easier for people to search for photos of interest. It also provides enhanced value to cc.com in many different direct and indirect ways. We are working on providing a streamlined way of fixing past photos for everyone. Quote
Water Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 how can i get photos in a gallery to show up full size. i can see the resolution dimensions and the size of the medium sized, and the large.........it says click to see larger but this is never an option. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 One of my photos is being spammed. I went to the link on the email notification that says to click to stop notices from being sent, but there's nothing there except to comment. It's a photo of Joe H and Kevin at his Ozone Benefit. I'd rather not delete the photo since it's a good one, but that's the next step. I've gotten over a hundred notices and just can't keep up with them anymore. Help! It's this photo: http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/showphoto.php?photo=41319&title=ozone-guide-book-release-and-fundraiser-party&cat=500 Quote
jon Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 Did you delete the photo? I'm trying to figure out why anonymous users are allowed to make comments, which shouldn't be the case. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) Jon, The photo is still there. I've been getting anonymous comments for a week or so. It started with real people on posts from the Kids Rope up and the Ozone Fundraiser then went to spam with links. I just got another spam on a different photo this evening: http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/comments.php?notify=off¬ifyid=423&photo=40061 Here's another one: http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/comments.php?notify=off¬ifyid=434&photo=41336 Edited June 15, 2011 by rmncwrtr Quote
G-spotter Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 If you go to the gallery index it looks like anonymous spam is hitting quite a few of the photos.See all the "last post" with no user name associated? http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/ Quote
JosephH Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 At least in chrome there's no onclick event to get to a larger image size... Quote
Z-Man Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 is there a way to edit photo details or delete photos? Quote
AlpineK Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Click on one of your photos. On the lower right hand side of the screen you'll see an edit photo option. Click on edit photo. When the image pops up scroll down and look on the right side again. There is a box for delete. Click and enter! bye bye photo. You can also close comments made to your photo if you want. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 The spammer has returned. Now putting spam on other photos of mine. Quote
jon Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 I'm not sure what the problem is so I have disabled comments for the time being until I get a handle on this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Quote

Z-Man Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Thanks for the reply Feck, but I cannot find an "edit photo" button in either IE or Firefox. Can you post a screenshot to show me what I'm missing? I've uploaded too many photos today so I'll put a screenshot up tomorrow. Quote
jon Posted June 16, 2011 Author Posted June 16, 2011 Take a look again Z-man. For some reason our settings got screwed up in our upgrade. You should be able to edit your photos as well as upload up to 20 photos in a day (it was previously set at 1!). Quote
Z-Man Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Great, big obvious edit photo button now, thanks. How about viewing larger sizes of photos? Largest I can see is 600x450 with no option for other sizes, including clicking on the photo. Quote
JosephH Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 How's it going on the 'click' access to the larger photo sizes? Also, it would be nice if the default sort was "Posted Date" / "Descending" versus what it is. Quote
olyclimber Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 How's it going on the 'click' access to the larger photo sizes? fixed Quote
ivan Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 the "upload photo" button, at least in chrome, is always covered over by the goddamn add and its damned impossible to click behind it! Quote
jon Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 thanks for reporting that I will fix that tomorrow. Quote
stevetimetravlr Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 but..but..but.....we wanted Ivan's trip report tonight... Quote
kevbone Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Jon. When I up load a picture it does not load it into my bulk photos. Or where I can access it from my photo button when I "reply". I have not been able to figure out how to upload photos then post them into a reply as of late. Help would be appreciated. Thanks! Quote
jon Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 I'll take a look at it this week. We will be giving some much needed attention to the photo gallery here soon. Thanks for everyones patience. Quote
