tvashtarkatena Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 Are you voting the tranny-commie ticket along with most of the rest of us this time? Quote
pink Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 who would you like to have with you on a climb? that's who i'm voting for. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 Obama's got a better reach, and he probably weighs less, but when was the last time you saw a black guy climb? McCain, well, I could nudge him over a cliff, I suppose. OMFG, FW, CONTACT THE SECRET SERVICE!!!!! Quote
prole Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Excuse me, but I don't think you guys have factored God's Will into your election calculations, so let's not pop the champagne just yet. According to Sarah Palin the Lord will have the final say. Then again, He does work in mysterious ways and it is possible that He's still undecided. Quote
hafilax Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Win or lose she will be satisfied that God is fulfilling her destiny. Fatalism nauseates me. Quote
rob Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 If she loses, it's so she can distance herself from that old fuck who she probably despises (all the evangelicals despise him), blame him for losing the election and riding her support all the way to 2012. You gotta break some eggs to make an omelot!! Quote
akhalteke Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Buying another assault rifle and 500 more rnds of ammo. That shit is about to get expensive! Last time we had a ban, pre-ban weapons double in value overnight! Fuck the stockmarket! I am going to be a weapons dealer. lol Quote

dougd Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 A proper celebration to the end of the long dark night will include cracking open at least a couple of Sam Adams' finest winter ale. Indeed, Americas finest, historic, beer. d Quote
prole Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I wish KKojak were here to celebrate the socialist victory he told me he secretly wished for. Quote
Bug Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 We have not heard from FW lately. He must be out celebrating with K. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 I'm gonna cook a little dinner for my wife, then we'll stroll arm in arm around my neighborhood, basking in the joy that will be coursing through the streets with the autumn leaves. Right up until the acid kicks in. Quote

Peter_Puget Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I’ll celebrate by enjoying a wonderful dinner and pint courtesy of my buddy Jim! Of course there might be a red dawn……….. As we get ready to go to the polls across the country today, Virginia Congressman Jim Moran gives more credence to the socialism argument with his statement that, “in the last seven years we’ve had the highest corporate profit… but it hasn’t been shared [because of a] Republican Administration’s simplistic notion that people who have wealth are entitled to keep it.” Gopher! Then there is the Youtube guy: “I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car, I won’t have to worry about paying for my mortgage. If I help him, he’s gonna help me.” linky By the way Led Zep sucks! Quote
JayB Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Getting an internet connection at our home here as been an epic worthy of Homer, but stopped in at an internet cafe to check the e-mail and take a look at the proliferation of threads here in this forum. A gauge-reading showing fresh spike in the flows out of the Tauranga-Taupo river means that I'll be celebrating by spending an evening by myself pitching flies to a fresh batch of 4-5lb rainbows in one of premier trout fisheries on the world. Although I voted for McCain, there are a number or positives aspects to this election from my point of view (really). Foremost amongst them is a state of affairs in which folks on the political left come in from the wild hinterlands of political estrangement and no longer have to fret when something good happens to the country, because that may have the unfortunate consequence of also being good for the sitting president and his administration (let alone finding solace in baroque conspiracies when confronted with years of political alienation and frustration). I am certain that this observation will not find a receptive audience here, but as an observer of the political left over the past eight years, this passage from Johnson has often come to mind: "Some claim a place in the list of patriots, by an acrimonious and unremitting opposition to the court. This mark is by no means infallible. Patriotism is not necessarily included in rebellion. A man may hate his king, yet not love his country." Now that the hated king is gone, I personally hope that your relationship with the country is less fraught, and you can at long last stop pretending that you are going to move to Canada. I also hope that more sober voices will be whispering in the nascent president's ear when it comes to trade policy and the abolition of secret-ballot voting in union election drives, but that's the subject for another thread. Enjoy the night. When I return from the river, I'll check the news and tip a Speights to at least four years of happy leftists. Quote

sobo Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Either way, no matter which one wins, I'll be getting good and drunk. For different reasons for each nominee, of course. Quote
