counterfeitfake Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Let's say you want to do something somewhere near Leavenworth tomorrow. The weather looks way crappy. What do you do? Long unpleasant slogging, frigid cragging, sloppy backcountry skiing, and intense beer drinking are all on the table. I've been trying to think of something to do just to get out and nothing has been grabbing me. Quote
marylou Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Yeah I was going to go fly fishing in E Wa with my guy this weekend and we're now at a complete loss as well. The weather just looks heinous everywhere!!!! Need ideas. Have car and outdoor toys, will travel. Quote
rob Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 intense beer drinking is sounding pretty good to me Quote

jmace Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 seems like alright mountain climbing weather.. this is just some really cold air that may induce covective flurries/showers avoid the classic convergence zones and should be alright Quote

ericb Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Who's been up Colchuck's NBC lately? It's been a month - wish I would have carried my skis up it even then. Quote

I think it's deserted because the climbing there isn't very good. This weekend's weather is precisely why the Pinnacles were created and developed. C'mon, ya know ya want to... Quote

I'm actually not totally opposed to that but 1. I think the weather will actually be bad there too, and 2. Kind of thinking about some cardio workout. Quote

G-spotter Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Slogging up Vertigo in the rain WILL be a cardio workout. Quote
G-spotter Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Or maybe you could just sit at home and cry about how bad the weather is. Quote
