Alpinfox Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Yo fooos, Frosty nights and sunny days. Jtree is bootiful as usual. Saw a bobcat. Did some climbing. Drank some wine. Hi from SoCal. Quote
denalidave Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 But your missing all the great skiing here. 8 degrees, windy as hell but at least the snow is nice an icy. To bad your suffering down there. Tell Borat I said Hi. Quote
Alpinfox Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 Apparently I'm also missing 6ft crown avalanches (saw AK Mtn TR). I'll take the sun, coyotes, and lifetime worth of "monzogranite". Hidden Valley cmpgrnd is almost empty. Come on down! Quote
pink Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 shouldn't you be out climbing in the moonlight or smoking pot in the space station. Quote
Bug Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 OOOOHHHH man that sounds nice. I remember the first time I went down there. I went to my parents for Thanksgiving in Missoula and a freak early cold snap dropped the temps to well below zero. I froze my balls walking home. The next morning I was on the on ramp hitchhiking south. I made it to JT in about 48 hours. A nice little lady in a mini-van drove me to the top of the divide coming in from the north and I climbed up on the rocks to see the sun setting on JT between my bare toes as the smoke rose listlessly through the still heat.
