jon Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Can someone recommend an embroiderer in the Seattle area... I'm having a surprisingly thought time finding one that will actually respond to emails. Quote
crackers Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 It's almost impossible to find production embroidery in the states. I just ordered a whack of patches from butler patches. I'll post up when I've gotten them. you might try calling the industrial sewing stores and asking them who's got embroidery machines. Also, the textile business doesn't go so well with technology. Good luck. Quote
Kat_Roslyn Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Try Shirtworks in Ellensburg. It might be annoying to mail the stuff, but I have no doubt they are on top of stuff, I used to work for them. Quote
Sherri Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Our next door neighbor(in Sequim) has a custom embroidery business. She's good. Robin Reese, Hummingbird Embroidery. Ph: 360-477-2269 Don't know if the email address I have is correct(she used to be based in Kent so it may have changed): hummingbirdembroidery@earthlink.net Quote
crmlla2007 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 slightly off-topic, but it's amazing how many businesses put some meager presence on the internet, then don't even have any employees who can answer emails, let alone pick them up. I think if you're going to put up some form of website, it should reflect the sophistication of the business (shitty '95 looking site, silly flash-burdened site, smooth easy to navigate) and someone should actually be at the email box, and respond to every email when it comes in. Otherwise, businesses should stay off the web. IMHO Quote
G-spotter Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I've embroidered my exploits frequently. Quote
sobo Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Kat's got the beta. We used Shirtworks for our unit hats, jackets, and vests and they look great. But again, they're in E-burg, as she stated. But I suppose they only use Nikwax, so WTF do I know anyway? Quote
Stefan Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I drive by this place all the time and looks like a decent operation: http://www.northwestembroidery.com/ Its about 3 miles drive off of I-5 at Fife. Stefan Quote
