letsroll Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 well for some of us who live further south, I think I am going to wait one or two more storms before heading out. If I was further north, Baker would be my Bizzach this weekend. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 You can actually afford to go skiing? Oh yeah the military ad! You can actually afford to post on this site? Oh wait it's free! oh yeah versus all the other forums where i have to pay chuckle chuckle. and if i don't, they are always so garishly decorated with these damn army navy posters, like rockclimbing.com and boldering.com and climbing.com forums etc etc.! No Jon, some people have principles and refuse to accept money from entities engaged in the practice of manipulating kids into literally signing their lives away. Quote

lancegranite Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Speaking of donations, how about it? I get a lot of enjoyment from CC.Com and would gladly shoot Jon $20.00 for the site. There used to be an thing to do that, is it still the case? I'm sure that a nice shirt or something would encourage the wallets to open.... Quote
olyclimber Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I'm hoping to have pimp CC.com t-shirts available before this X-mas. You can donate with the paypal link to the left if you would like. Quote

Quote
Alex Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Some of that melted by 4pm. With freezing levels going to 11,000 in the coming days, more of it will. That said, I had a great day hiking in the snow today! Bring on winter! Quote
AlpineK Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I thought about skiing today, but with the rise in freezing levels I figured it was better to start the indoor rock climbing season. Skiing is going to rock, and it's very close. Quote
plexus Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Went running yesterday in shorts and a t-shirt and looking out my sliding glass door, I have over two inches of freshies on my balcony. One more storm and I'm finding some backcountry stashes. Funny to be thinking about skiing but knowing I'm climbing in the Flatirons on Tuesday morning. Hell, anything is better than the white strip of death . Quote
AlpineK Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 My first winter in CO I was all psyched on early season skiing. I went up to Keystone the first week it was open. Right then the ski area consisted of one open run with snow on it due to man made snow. At the time there were ski patrollers at every corner of the run telling the hoards to slow down. I think I did two runs and decided that it was bullshit and went back to Boulder. Quote
