The woman is Cindy Sheehan, whose son killed in action in Iraq. She gained a degree of fame/notoriety for protesting the war for the past few years.

and quit this week citing the fact that more folks give a shit about american idol then their culpability in a aggressive war that's killed and continues to kill thousands

not quite certain why she was chilling w/ chavez, nor how that would diminish the truth of her message.

Maybe she wants to go back when socalist controlled the world. Heck then her son could be dragged out of his house and just shot in the back of the head. Much easier.

What a terrible thing to say. You have children....how would you feel if what you are describing happened to one of your children?

And you think socalism is not in the world.....more views from the REP fog glasses.

not recognizing significant faces from current events indicates a general unawareness of current events (which i reckon you admit to anyhow) - paying no attention to what's happening in the world around you increases the likilihood of seeing your kids butchered

I really do feel sorry for Mrs. Sheehan. But even I am even more pissed off at our press. The poor lady lost her son. HE IS GONE!

As a father I can’t imagine the pain she has gone through. However, I feel the media has not allowed her to truly grieve. It is a shame. She should be left alone in peace to find her peace. Allow her to do her little protest in her own way to grieve her lose

Crass? Yes.

Heartless? Yes

Truthful??? Yes.

Seahawks equates socialism with totalitarianism. One does not follow necessarily from the other.

Are you claiming that this abuse of power and corruption doesn't apply to the current state of affairs of American governance? If not denying it, why would you relegate yourself to resist and criticize only socialism or that which you imagine would lead to it, while continuing to give tacit support to corrupt leaders who are actively in power right now and going to great aims to consolidate that power? Is it on the basis that, at least the current leaders claim to hold similar values to yours? It's not possible you're hearing what you want to hear and excusing the rest? Isn't that sort of blind loyalty what has allowed socialist governments to deteriorate into corruption and totalitarianism as well?

Total power corrupts.

And never in the history of our nation has this been so succinctly illustrated as under the administration of George W. Bush at the helm of all three branches of government under Republican control.

Little did I know this would bring those Libby's out. :lmao:
