rob
Before every trip, I always swing by the same AMPM to buy a cup of coffee. And every time, the lady has always given it to me for free. I'm afraid it's become a superstition. I'm afraid NOT to stop by. I don't know wtf I'd do if she ever charged me. Does anybody else have any stupid shit like this that they do? Hendershot
I don't use the "F" word. "Fall" I seriously tell my climbing partners not to say it unless they or myself are in fact falling

Stefan
I touch the first snow I come across with bare hands on each trip. Kiss every summit and think "Thank you". Put one foot on every summit.
Dechristo
Next, grahsss-hahpuh, you must summit with every footstep.

Jens
My head must be higher than the highest chunk of rock or snow to "summit" (cornice or not). --- By this definition, about 30% of the Everest summitters didn't.
DirtyHarry
Before every climb I pray to God that death comes quick and painlessly. But since I know there is no such thing as God I just make sure I put the beer and the ice chest in the car in case I return alive.
