scottgg Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Either by yourself or another party, what notable ascents do you want to see done this winter? In other words, hearing of others success on which climbs will most inspire you? These are the climbs that I'd be stoked to see others get up: East Ridge of Silver Star A nordwand route on Rainier North Face of Mt Persis Quote
catbirdseat Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 There were some fine climbs put up last winter that I would like to try to repeat. Some were quite moderate and within my own limited capabilities. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Thermogenesis. December 31st. ...with ski descent? Quote

David Trippett Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 A new route or a winter repeat on this scenic Wa. State Nordwand (Mt. Baring N. Face) would be NEAT-O. Whoops! Forgot to give credit....where's me 'ead?! Those photos are off of summitpost. Quote
pms Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Persis sounds cool. How about Ptarmigan Traverse as per original. Quote

Weekend_Climberz Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 How about Hanging Glacier on Shuksan? Not to let the cat out of the bag or anything Quote
dbconlin Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Buck Mtn. I've been wondering about winter ascents of that North face gully (right side of photo) or the faces to either side. Does anyone have any beta (I don't have the right Beckey guide for that one)? I have a feeling the approach might be heinous w/o snow machine transport. Quote
strumpett Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 How about that winter accent of that long sport climb. The long slab. Quote
dberdinka Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 This would be cool too. 600' tall and damn steep. Sits above Craig Lakes. Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'll just be glad to get up Polar Circus without having to descend in the dark. Quote
John Frieh Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I'll just be glad to get up Polar Circus without having to descend in the dark. Better make that clear to your guide Quote
