Stefan
While I was looking at my fabulous self after taking a shat this afternoon, I wondered, what color is a mirror? If a mirror reflects all, what color could it have?

Dru
Mirrors are the color of the things they reflect. Duh. But, how come you can't smell the inside of your own nose?

sketchfest
Mirrors are the color of the glass that the silver backing is applied to. i.e. clear glass = clear mirror, bronze colored glass = bronze mirror
mec
isn't that the color of the glass, and not the mirror?
sketchfest
Not as far as the industry is concerned. The color/quality of the reflective backing material never changes only the color of the material that it is applied to. Once the two are combined the industry only identifies the color of the mirror by the color of glass to which it was applied.

A mirror simply produces non-diffuse reflection. There are plenty of others besides the Al/Silver backed one in your home. This includes those cool colored oakley sunglasses, polished gold, normal glass (a good mirror for some wavelength ranges), and a whole host of other configurations.
