Less than 100 kms from Cirque of the Unclimbables fruit.gif

That is quite an approach to the climbing still.

One point that Dru hasn't brought up is that coming from the Yukon you'd have to do a month of brushwacking to get to the cirque. Not that it can't be done, but only a handfull of people have walked to the cirque.

But we have a helicopter at our disposal so the_finger.gif

The chances I will actually get to climb in the Cirque are slim to none, though. The peaks around the area we are going to be working in are mostly unclimbed but also mostly low piles of rubble cry.gif

Yeah everything else I saw from the plane looked boring. There is the Vampire(?) range north of the cirque. Unfortunalely helicopters cost too much to just joyride wherever.

If Druupy goes north who will put up all the new classic dirt and choss routes in SWBC this summer? Who will compile all the grade 0.5 routres for the AAJ? Anarchy unleashed upon the masses shocked.gif

farthest north I've ever been was car-camping on the Yukon River, near Whitehorse. never will forget how damn big that river was.... we were probably over 1000 miles upstream from the ocean and it still looked like it had the same discharge as the mouth of the Skagit. ooo.gifshocked.gif
