tomtom
Which is the best use for Helicopter service to Everest: Â Heli-skiing? Â Ride to avoid the long slog home? Â Pizza delivery? Â Restock the Starbucks on top? Â Discus.
barjor
Don't know about you guys but I think it sucks. Now the climbers can have even less respect and comitment to the mountain.
Double_E
what's next, a frickin' visitors center?

mec
Now people will think they can get rescued a lot easier too. Let's see if the death toll rises.
kenp
not a bad idea for rescues, how about also using the chopper to haul garbage down from the upper camps? Â **Camp IV to chopper, please bring me a clean pair of socks along with a double hazlenut latte**
fenderfour
I could be wrong, but I doubt that the manufacturer (EADS) gives a damn about climbers. It's a publicity stunt to sell more belly-poppers. Â Nothing has changed. Please go back to work.
Dechristo
The only way a chopper is gonna land on top of Everest is when a stretched Harley falls out of the ass of an airliner.
archenemy
The only way a chopper is gonna land on top of Everest is when a stretched Harley falls out of the ass of an airliner. O, That will never happen. They make you put your kickstand down just like on the ferry.
catbirdseat
This is the Squirrell line of helicopters. I recall someone flew a Squirrell high up on Denali to rescue Dick Bass once.
specialed
I thought the title of this thread was Clapper Lands on top of Everest. That would be cool. Clap on. Clap off.
Dru
Maybe it is Fido training for an Everest Speed Record. He will fly to the top with dog and then piss down the mountain in the general direction of Chad. After the stroke fest of "establishing a new record" it will be back to training for the fastest quart of mayonnaise suckdown.

Ducknut
i don't think Id want to be the rescuer popping out of my O2 rich helicopter to run over and try to carry a injured climber at 29,000 feet. Thank you for letting your hypoxic rescuer croak.
Alan
Well, this report has now been confirmed. Just read about it in the Vancouver Sun, so it must be true. Haven't seen The Province yet, because if it was in there too, it would be totally validated in my opinion. (Good odds it is in there though, cause I think front sensational cover aside, they simply rearrange the articles.)
