AlpineK Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Saturday: instructed at a fruit tree pruning class then drank beer Sunday: Index Quote
catbirdseat Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 I spent Saturday playing my horn and building a fence. Sunday I went for a hike. Tomorrow, I'll be in sunny Florida just as the clouds arrive in Seattle for PittCon an analytical chemistry conference. I don't imagine there is anywhere to climb in Florida, is there? I believe this is my 7,000th post. Quote
griz Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 (edited) Ice bashing around breckenridge saturday and a send off/well wishing dinner for a climbing buddy hitting the the big E this spring. Had to pass on a couple extra ice bashing days in ouray due to new, cool job so I worked on the plans for summer permit river trips in Idaho/Utah. Oh, and after looking at the snow pack reports today for the area I'm pretty sure the PNW will be smelling the smoke as Idaho burns to the ground this summer... Edited February 28, 2005 by griz Quote
EWolfe Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 Congrats on 7000, CBS! Saturday, worked 1/2 day Sunday: went for a jaunt around Bellingham on foot. (I love this town!), did some buildering and brewery-hopping, darts... hell. It turned into a pubcrawl. Quote
Dru Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 My weekend I saw a bunch of good slideshows and climbing films too at VIMFF. And climbed with an old friend I hadn't climbed with in like 8 years Alpine, rock, party, all in same weekend, in February Quote

ken4ord Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 A chill weekend hanging on Lake Muhazi, drinking wine, grilling food, lying out in the sun. Life was rough. Quote
EWolfe Posted February 28, 2005 Author Posted February 28, 2005 can ya post any pics to share? It seems like another world away to me! Quote
ken4ord Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Yep it is another world away. I didn't shoot any pictures from this weekend, but did you see my Rusumo Falls TR in the California and elsewhere section? Quote
Gender_Bender Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 This weekend was rad, i think the best possible bouldering conditions i have ever experienced at squamish and it was dry, even the pine needles were dry.. never seen that in the winter. Anyway serious sending took place and life was good. Quote
AlpineK Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Yeah, it was dry at Index. Kind of like August. I can see a lot of places being closed due to fire hazard when it really is August. Quote
b-rock Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Saturday: Reid Headwall, perfect ice and neve, perfect weather. Sunday: Refinishing old furniture and gawking at everything in bloom at the Portland Nursery. Quote

selkirk Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Saturday.... work, work, work, gawd I suck. Sunday.. building good karma teaching newbies to rappel. Of course the whole day was made worthwhile when I saw a nice gentlement solo to the top of Spire Rock..... so? while wearing a harness? but of course no helmet! and best of all, he was carrying a trad rack clipped to said harness??? though he didn't have any sling with which to clip said trad rack, nor a rope to clip the pieces into? Damnit, somebody wasn't sharing! Quote
barjor Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 Drove from Portland to Mt Mcloughlin friday night, spent the night in the back of the truck. Saturday I did Mt Mclouglin.
