marylou Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 You don't believe me, feel free to look it up yourself. I gave you all the information to do the research on this yourself. Quote
Fat_Teddy Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 You don't believe me, feel free to look it up yourself. I gave you all the information to do the research on this yourself. Â It's not there. It doesn't exist. You know it, and I know it. If it was you'd produce it. It's easy to make ridiculous claims when you aren't required to support them. As I called it in my initial reply, that's a habit with you. Quote
scott_harpell Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I just checked the website on the day of the tenet resignation and it wasn't there... at least nothing with bush in the headline showed any thing about it. Quote
scott_harpell Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I was hoping Jesse Jackson would have made it in... quality leadership. Quote
Scourge Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Good one Scott, Jesse and Hillary would get my vote. Quote
JoshK Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Hey Fat Teddy, you fucking moron, Colin Powell not returning is old news...it's been known for well over a year now. Needless to say, the administration has tried to keep it fairly quiet.  Since you are clueless, here are some links, both news and editorial:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A16856-2003Aug3?language=printer  http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/08/04/powell.2nd.term/  http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0407-12.htm  http://slate.msn.com/id/2095756/  http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,346150,00.html  http://www.gibbsmagazine.com/Powell%20won't%20be%20back.htm  http://us.altermedia.info/index.php?p=404  http://us.altermedia.info/index.php?p=404  http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-08-04-powell_x.htm  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,93659,00.html  http://www.rediff.com/us/2003/aug/04us.htm Quote
Fat_Teddy Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 That's funny, I only had to read as far as the second link before I saw Powell calling the newspaper report "nonsense" and said it wasn't true that he had told the president of his plans to leave. Â Speaking of "clueless morons", do you check your own sources before you post them? No wonder you can't get laid. You're too fucking stupid. Quote
willstrickland Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 The "news" came out last August. The source was supposed to be one of his aides/confidants. Powell denied it, saying he served "at the pleasure of the president" or something vaugely homoerotic like that. Â It's more or less standard fare for Sec State to serve one term and move on. Â What interested me was that all the speculation around the time the "news" came out was that Condi would be his replacement as Sec State. Now the word on the street is that she's moving along as well. I'm interested in who would be the next choice (assuming that Bush "wins" another election). Quote
iain Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 You make up facts to support your argument. You don't even KNOW a NG member. Period. Â Anyone who climbs in Oregon or north through Mt. Rainier can rest assured they have friends in the National Guard. Bush doesn't compare to these guys. Â Quote
Fat_Teddy Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 JoshK doesn't. Â You're right, though, Bush doesn't compare. He was a fighter pilot. Quote
John Frieh Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Here you go fatty:  Powell and Armitage Intend to Step Down  Are we still going to go bouldering if I come out to Boston? Quote
JoshK Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 JoshK! Â Yeah??? Â Â Fatty, keep reading Jackass...you think cause he called the report "nonsense" it isn't true? By that logic nearly every beef you have with Kerry would be nonsense too, since I'm sure plenty of the reports you cite he claims aren't true. Â This isn't a controversial subject. Like I said, it's been known for a while. Dems, repubs, etc. all pretty much know it. I'm not sure what you find so appauling or unbelieveable about it? Quote

Skeezix Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Fat Teddy reveals himself to be Martlet by his pattern of reply coupled with taunt. Â Speaking of "clueless morons", do you check your own sources before you post them? No wonder you can't get laid. You're too fucking stupid. Â Do we really need to listen to this insulting spew? I, for one, am going to ignore FT starting now. Anyone care to join me? Quote
Dru Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 and miss out on the trolling? an insult is an admission of being unable to find a relevant rebuttal. Quote
MervGriffin Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Instead of Gary Coleman, how about voting for Hank the angry drunken dwarf? Â Dude....get a grip. Hank is dead. He died Sept. 4, 2001. Here's a little Hank Nasiff, Jr. Memory Garden: Â Â Gary Coleman, however, is still alive and ran for Governor of California. Â Quote

Anyone care to join me?  Hey Skeezix,  Shall I ignore posts from all the left-wing kooks like you, Dru, Dr Flash, Iain, Winter, j_b, Sex Choc, etc?? I think this suggestion you have put forth reveals a lot about the mind-set of those (like yourself) who profess to be so enlightened and claim to be the protectors of free speech.  Indeed. Quote
snoboy Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Feel free to ignore away. It's not gonna impinge on my free speech. Quote

I think this suggestion you have put forth reveals a lot about the mind-set of those (like yourself) who profess to be so enlightened and claim to be the protectors of free speech. Â Indeed. Â You gonna try and shit-talk the DFA when he ain't even around, eh, Captain Flagwave? Well, that's cool, 'cause Dr. Flash Amazing's been wiping his ass on the ol' stars 'n' bars every morning and smearing the results on the door handles of your Hummer, sport. Â Say, give us "left-wing kooks" a call when you wake up from your oily little military-industrial laissez faire wet dream and realize that giving the middle finger to the rest of the world does not equal good foreign policy, that bombing thousands of Muslims does not pacify potential terrorists, and that cutting educational funding in fact leaves a lot of children very much behind.
