Billygoat Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Yeah I'll be in Colorado, which sucks ass basically (ask Greg, he knows all about sucking ass). Butt, I'll make the most of it...
minx Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 is anyone going to have their kids tagging along. i'd love to go but i don't have a sitter this w/e i'll have to go to smiffy instead
mattp Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Minx, there will be a lot of us acting childish over there. Does that count?
EWolfe Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Agreed. I save up all of my childish behavior specifically for these events.
gapertimmy Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I'm not going to be able to make it this W/e... we need someone from the pdx area to transport beer. Critical! Please PM me if you are going up and you live down south here!
John Frieh Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I can't guarantee I won't tap it on the way up if my gas mileage drops below 16 or if Pandora’s parents will shot me on the spot when I show up to pick her up with a keg in the back of my truck… I'm leaving PDX at 4 pm Thursday... let me know...
minx Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Minx, there will be a lot of us acting childish over there. Does that count? maybe...but the way things are going smiffy is sounding good.
John Frieh Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 And you kids better have it drained by the time I leave Sunday... Does anyone know if a tapped keg counts as an open container?
slaphappy Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Shall I bring my Polaris RMK? I hear the snowmobiling at the hairpin is top notch!
EWolfe Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 This year: Is that darker one CHARRED?!? No, wait, it's just a dark board. Whew....
fern Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 i hope someone brings a stereo! I'll bring the music:
eternalX Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Will I be shit out of luck without a b/c setup? I usually rent a spilt board for touring, I'm thinking I'll need to do the same here. No transeiver should be required though, right?
mattp Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I rarely carry a transceiver this time of year. For the chute above the Hairpin or the slopes opposite, you probably won't need any b/c setup -- it'll most likely be good step-kicking up and a quick ride down. Do what you think best.
AlpineK Posted April 29, 2004 Author Posted April 29, 2004 As posted in the other thread: Dave pointed out earlier in this thread that we do need some group gear. Garbage cans garbage bags bbqs briquettes Ice coolers. Bring some food to share and some for yourself. I'll try and bring some pancake mix for Sunday breakfast.
John Frieh Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 It should also be pointed out that we NEED a tap for the keg. The TG keg will arrive tonight...
gapertimmy Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 NOLSe thanks for transporting the keg, sounds like its gonna be gone by friday night though, HA!
Terminal_Gravity Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Have fun... wish I could join you. The beer I am giving to NOLSe is my "Breakfast Porter". Someone will have to round up a tap; it is the standard sankey style. Please make sure I get the empty keg back.
