Jens Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 I seem to always see dipshit driving being done by people in newer Subarus. (not aggressive driving but just stupid driving). More than just about any other vehicles. I'm mostly referring to the newer outbacks and forresters- not so much the people driving the older ones. It seems to be a trend that me and many of my friends have noticed over the last couple of years. And no, I didn't just get cut off this morning by a ru'. I don't neccesarrily claim to be good driver myself but anybody else see the same things? What type of person is the typical subaru driver? I'm sure there are a few of you reading this who drive new subarus awesome and are getting pissed. Its not you I am referring to. It is just uncanny. Quote
Thrashador Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 Point taken. I'm an 'older' Suby driver and am fairly clueless. Still, I'd much rather saddle up next to a Suby on the hwy than a boatized RED suv driven by a female with cell phone in one hand and a, tepid, low foam soy latte in the other. Besides...most Suby's, 'cept the WRXs, are real slow. Just pass 'em d00d! Quote
JoshK Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 It's just cause there are a lot of subarus on the road. The vast majority of *all* drivers suck. At least they can't do as much damage as a clueless driver in a suburban or expedition. Quote
Dan_Harris Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 See Erik's human beings are dumb thread first . I saw it first. Quote

iain Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Some of the worst winter driving I have ever witnessed has been performed by Subaru Outback drivers. Quote
wayne Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 What are you saying Jens? We survived our drive to the Pickets! They were just bunnies! Quote
MtnHigh Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Newer Subaru Drivers are Clueless..... Cause most of them are wimmin Quote

The "older ones" are rusting away in junkyards, their horizontally opposed pistons long ago fused to their low grade aluminum blocks. So exactly whom does that leave? Quote

Necronomicon Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Speaking of...took the Subby (legacy) from Penticton to B'Ham in 3:50 last night. Sporty!! Quote
Fairweather Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 A SUBARU or a VW MICROBUS is to an enviro/liberal as a HUMMER or BMW is to a yuppie. ....It's all about fittin' the image/validating the stereotype. ....and one group is no different (or better) than the other. Quote
slothrop Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 But you're obviously better than all of 'em, right Fairweather? Quote
Fairweather Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 ....Let me guess. You drive a Subaru? Quote
Necronomicon Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 I drive a CAR that happens to be a Subaru. I have no agenda, other than to get from point A to point B. Fairweather: You, sir, are a cad. Quote

nolanr Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 I honestly haven't noticed bad Suby drivers, and I do see plenty of them on the road. Mine is about 2 years old, does that count as new? Quote
slothrop Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Let me guess: you drive a vehicle that gets you where you want to go and fits within your budget. Yes? Damn, I'm fucking clairvoyant. Quote
EWolfe Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 Anyone who would drive one of these: is a fucking idiot, in my book. But they may have driven one of these: back in the '80's - and old habits die hard Quote
Sphinx Posted August 26, 2003 Posted August 26, 2003 What's wrong with the suby baja? I asked for it for Christmas! Assholes! Quote
