adventuregal Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 In another thread, it was brought up that the Tillamook high school mascot is the "Cheesemakers". Mine was the 'Gremlins'. Any other goofy mascots out there?? Quote

Ursa_Eagle Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 RPI: Engineers (do they have to stop and work out the math for optimum speed, angle, and spin before making a pass?) Â and many years back my middle school principal wanted to change our mascot from the warriors to the "Applepickers"... luckily, he went with our suggestion of "Hawks" Quote
kitten Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Nothing unusual at my H.S. Except I was the mascott for my senior year during BB season. Had knee surgery and couldn't cheer! Quote

nolanr Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 It's not quite a mascot, but since somebody brought up rallying cries: there's a college in Kentucky I believe named Austin Peay (pronounced like pee), and their slogan back in the 70's was "The fly is open, let's go Peay." I think the administration frowned on that one. Quote
Dan_Harris Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 The Northwest Conference up your way has a few interesting mascots Pacific Lutheren University Lutes, a musical instrument? University of Puget Sound Loggers, not Lagers. Pacific University Boxers, people who stuff cardboard containers or underwear? Whitman College Missionaries Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 what do the people at Whitman College say at rallies? "we're gonna do this missionary-style!" Quote

Dru Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 University of BC sports teams are the Thunderbirds. Â Back in the day they had a mascot contest. THE PEOPLES CHOICE for mascot and team name was Seagulls but the coaching staff vetoed it because they hought Thunderbirds was more masculine and aggro and all. Quote

Beautiful campus though. Quote
