bunglehead Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Talking to some co-workers of mine earlier, I find out that I'm the only one without cable TV. I know I'm insane, but am I a luddite? How many of you peeps gots cable? Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 no cable here. I don't have time to watch TV as it is. Any Simpsons episodes I watch are downloaded off the internet. Quote
Jim Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 No cable, TV lives in the closet except for video rentals. Quote

Turned it right back off and put on some Black Crowes and Charlie Parker. Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Cable internet, yes. Cable TV, no thank you. Even though Comcast (Satan incarnate) offers "free" cable TV via your computer now that they've jacked the price of internet access up ten bucks over what it used to be. Can't wait to move and give those fucks the boot. They make Qwest look like a great business worthy of one's ducats. Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 yeah, I gotta ditch the cable in favor of a less-raping high-speed solution. Quote
vegetablebelay Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Of course I have cable. Discovery Channel, M's games, ESPN, TNT and TBS movies - all the good stuff is on cable. Quote

allthumbs Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 I have: cable tv cable internet 4 cables hanging over my bed Quote
kitten Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 TV is a waist of valuable time. No cable - no bunny ears. It has been that way for about 7 years. Love it. Quote
Fairweather Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 TV too often gets a bad wrap. If you can sort through the 98% that is pure garbage, what's left is a beautiful window to the world capable of taking us to parts of the globe/universe we are unable to see with our own eyes. Â The History Channel Discover Channel PBS (Frontline rocks!) UW TV C-Span OLN (Outdoor Life Network) Â ....and of course, FOX News. (They report. I decide.) Â Of course, I am occasionally drawn to "Comedy Central" and "The Sci-Fi Channel" (Those B-Grade movies are great!), but I think these two fall into the afore mentioned 98% category. Quote
E-rock Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Fuck, you guys are clueless. It's all about SATELLITE TV. You can even get PORN. Quote

I CALL YOUR BLUFF. I once used that excuse too. But you are spraying on the board - you like the crap TV too. I would probably be hooked on Opera if I had a TV at work Quote
E-rock Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Hah, good one kitten! My biggest pet peeve is when people say shit like, "I only use my TV to watch videos, oh and the Simpsons". Â But I only use my TV to watch videos, oh and South Park. Quote
