RobBob Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 ...I just heard that it was an "anal assault." Anyone want to predict where the case will end up? Quote
EWolfe Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 I saw yesterday that now Nike is trying to get out of the $45 Million contract with him, citing "morality" issues. The expenses of this mistake are mind-boggling. Quote
AlpineK Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Why do you suckers even care about professional sports. All they players are a bunch of overpampered assholes. Quote
RobBob Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 Gives a whole new meaning to "Kobe beef." Quote
erik Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 good article! seriously this one really puts the whole show on trial!!! i like it! Quote
Kiwi Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Supposedly the 'anal sex' issue is one of the reasons why this case is so big. IDB goes mainstream! Imagine Barbara Walters talking about this. Quote
Ratboy Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 It's just another reality tv show for the masses. And yet another one I couldn't give a god damn about. Quote
lummox Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 tell you what. that fucker who whacked his pregnant wife in modesto has gotta be happy that kobe is taking up the headline space. Quote
Dan_Harris Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 Kobe ain't taking Scott Peterson out of the headlines down her. There is something everyday even if they have to dredge up and recycle old stuff. If one of the attorneys blinks it is in the paper. I'm friggin getting tired of it. Quote
Ratboy Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 The only reason I care even remotely about the Peterson case is because the religious zealots are trying to use it as another step in undermining Roe v Wade. Other than that, I couldn't care less about it. People are murdered every day and it's just as tragic and no one puts them in the headlines. It's just cannibalization with a live studio audience. RobBob Posted July 29, 2003 Author Posted July 29, 2003 I enjoyed the reminder reference in that article about the William Kennedy Smith trial. Two great memories: 1. the statements about Teddy Kennedy coming back downstairs for a drink after the bar, his dick hanging out in front of the aggrieved. 2. Steve Dunleavy doing an interview for Current Affair with a "character witness" for the aggrieved. By the time he flashed her the skin pics of herself, she tackled him on the head. Quote
Formaldehead Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 I think Kobe should take a lesson from The Dogfather and bust out a series of all anal Doggystyle-esque hardcore pornos. Lots of people would love to watch him impale some pasty white chicks. Quote
erik Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 necro kinda stuck in a rut today? musta been canal fishin down at trask's again? Quote

I'm curious what their argument is...what did Roe vs. Wade have to do with it? Because they're trying him for 2 murders? The baby was 8.5 months in gestation it is considered viable and therefore an independent life. Doesn't Roe v. Wade allow right to choose in only 1st semester and early 2nd semester situations? Totally different issue. If they're trying to drag this in I'd like to hear more. Last I heard Petersen said the Satinic cults killed her. Quote
minx Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 it is my understanding that roe v. wade does not discriminate when an abortion is legal simply that it is. Quote
trustyredalien Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 The Unborn Victims of Violence Act "would recognize an embryo or fetus as a seperate person that can be an independent victim of a crime, with legal rights equal to, and seperate from, those of a woman." Soon it's going to be a felony to go on the pill. Quote

The baby was 8.5 months in gestation it is considered viable and therefore an independent life. That is exactly what they are trying to do. There is a concerted effort by the anti-abortion crowd to give a fetus as many rights as possible so that they can be used as a basis for overturning Roe. The two largest accomplishments toward that so far that I've seen are giving health benefits to a fetus (not just the mother of the fetus) and charging people with murder for killing a fetus (so far just along with the mother). I am not against either of these, but the slope is becoming very slippery. Quote
eternalX Posted July 29, 2003 Posted July 29, 2003 that's retarded. if Life is what we were concerned with, we'd put somebody in jail everytime they scratched some living skin off themselves. Quote

RobBob Posted July 30, 2003 Author Posted July 30, 2003 Erik, you come up with some great articles. That guy is full of shit. Using his logic, most of us on this board might be sexually aggressive because of a need to succeed, be in control, etc. I'd like to hear what women think of that piece. Quote
minx Posted July 30, 2003 Posted July 30, 2003 this dude is nuts. based on this anyone involved in a relationship or child rearing is a risk. remind me not to have a conversation with anyone who is married or has kids Quote
