I've poked around at Lamberson (or is it Lambertson?). The stuff I got on was choss and uninspiring. I know there are some more solid stuff around there--suggestions? There is a wall at Opal Creek? Got any beta? Thats a fabulously beautiful area I haven't explored in years.

They also custom make schoeller jackets and I've found this fabric to be pretty water resistant. Obviously it won't keep you nearly as dry as gore-tex but if its raining that bad I'm climbing a bar stool.

My motorola flip phone was free with Verizon a year ago. I get good converage along the I-5 corridor and decent along I-84 and the coast. Hwy 97 corridor was also decent coverage. Check the different websites for coverage areas to best fit your needs. I get excellent coverage from the top of Hood, St. Helens and Rainier for those moments when I need to schedule an appointment to have my Land Rover lowered and fat slicks mounted on board.

Does anybody have the Bibler winter bivy? I am curious how you like it if you do have one. I have one but haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I'll post a review after a trip next week. rbw, Did you get out and use the bibler, and if so how did you like it? Sadly the weather has not been cooperating much so I've actually only tested this thing in my back yard. I stayed dry in it and its super lightweight. Didn't notice any condensation problems but I am a little concerned about durability. I may try it again this weekend.

Ditto Sketch. I got two dogs myself and I am sure I will cry like a baby if anything happens to them. My golden retriever just turned 12 and damn near needs a cane to get up and down the stairs.
