Prole, what did you do before you went to Harvard Law? Yes, Obama should have not compromised and insisted on more. Reality is he wouldn't have gotten it. The stimulus should have been much bigger and financial reform should have been much tougher, going as far as breaking up some of the banks. I think it's funny how everyone is NOW noticing things aren't good since the stock market is falling. Things haven't been good for two years. The raw data has been terrible and the governments actions across the world inadequate, especially in Europe. You now have China, which is highly corrupt, with completely over-leveraged municipal debt levels on bond money that likely doesn't even exist on land collateral valued at 10x realistic levels. Australia and Canada are in an enormous housing bubbles and household debt levels worse then the US ever was. @noriel "Markets not buying into spin of a "better than expected" jobs # as report was lousy: unempl rate down only because 200k left the labor force" Yes the unemployment rate is down to 9.1%. What is the real unemployment rate? How many people have a job now that pays much less then before?

Tom, I fixed your images. In the future add &.jpg to the end of the image url and it should work (you can click edit to see what I did). -

Nice work Tom! Great report! Hey, I noticed the image problem with the extension you were using passing the image size argument and I'm working on a solution. -
Actually it's because there hasn't been any spray in days. Imagine that! But yes we need to fix that. I think your suggestion is good and we'll get rid of the permit forum traffic in the search results. We appreciate people's patience with this, I know it's a bit of annoying, but it really does have a huge benefit to us and will more in the future.

I wonder how Gov. Christie would feel about his medical care today if he couldn't afford it like most Americans.

My favorite is the senator saying how people are suffering and getting rid of their country club memberships and expensive cars.

Let me heed some advice to anyone just getting out of school. Apply for this job. Real unemployment is at 22%. Most jobs out there are either a unpaid internship for new grads or they require 5 years of experience, which, guess what kiddo, you don't have. Get job experience. Get business experience regardless of your major. Having business experience will not hurt your biology ambitions. Plus, it's probably the coolest small city in Washington. Close to Baker, WA Pass, Whistler and Squamish. Cheaper housing then Seattle area, great food, TJs and Costco, stable economy thanks to all the Canucks coming across to shop.
-
Not sure what brand but I've seen huge packs at Costco.
-
This is not looking good.
-
Has anyone made a TRX knockoff having used the branded one? Curious as to what you used for parts and how much it ended up costing you.
-
Thanks for the suggestions, Jason. We'll keep them in mind as we are planning our feature upgrades that we are currently working on.
-
Photos that won in the previous contest were not allowed to be entered this time. If you did not win before submitting them again was fine. Sorry for the confusing statement.

Hey Everyone, I just got a message from the owner of this dog. They are hoping some climbers are willing to rap off the west side of Ellinor to see if the dog is still alive. Even if you can't do this please spread the word. I know there are a lot of dog owner on here, as one myself it really breaks my heart to hear this, so hopefully there is someone here willing to help this poor family out.

You need to do it in the photo gallery first.
-
Lots of great submissions so far, please keep them coming! Help spread the word!

It's funny how your article says just under 2.4 million jobs when the actual report says this... You are implying that the money was needlessly wasted by saying that each job was created at the cost of $278k. If the money was to be spent purely on salaries, what do you propose these people should be doing that doesn't cost anything more that would have a positive impact on our economy or society? Please explain this to me. My work actually received ARRA money. We had probably 100 applicants that made it through HR for 2 jobs. Most of these people were out of work and most were qualified enough to do the work. I'm pretty sure the 2.4 to 3.6 million Americans that were able to keep food on their tables and have health insurance will disagree with you about the success of it.

Greenspan was at the root cause of all of this, wtf is he even on TV. He needs to be in a cell. Why is it that when people don't see a huge increase in the GDP or unemployment rates that all this stimulus and QE1/2 is considered a failure? The point is to avoid deflation or stagflation and a repeat of the Japanese lost decade, not to create another bubble. It was a success. Housing prices need to stabilize otherwise more people will walk away. Why pay a $3k mortgage when you can rent it for $1k? The incentive to walk away just keeps increase; I personally know many who have when they could have easily afforded it. People have to accept that life is not going to return to 2004-2006, where unemployment was very low, money was easy to get, and a party clown owns 3 homes. This is the new reality. Until something is done with our out of control trade deficit we will never see the prosperity we once saw. People have to be willing to give up their cheap chinese goods and cheap foreign engineers and outsourcing.

Of course this is assuming that all the money went purely to salaries, which it did not. Most of the money went to costs like consumables, which of course has a trickle down effect. Gotta love Republican math.
