I've made a seperate post talking about our gear system that we recently updated. The prices in the system are updated daily, so when you search you should always be getting the most accurate price. This system will be your best friend this holiday season in finding the best bargains! http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1044393/CC_com_Gear_System

When hunting for the best gear deals this holiday I'd like to encourage you to use our new gear system. It tracks the prices from 63 online outdoor retailers at the moment and can be you best friend in finding the best deal. As always we always encourage you to shop at your local shops, but it's inevitable that some purchases will be made online. Our gear system can be located at... http://cascadeclimbers.com/gear/ Our unique system allows you to search each or all merchants by product, brand, discount, or a combination of both. Here is an example. I know I want a Mountain Hardware Glove, so I search for Glove, then using the results filter select "Mountain Hardware". I want to see how deep of a discount there is out there so I start with "50% off" which will display everything that is at least 50% off. You can do this for any product, product type, retailer, or brand. In the next example I know what I'm looking for, a Petzl Reverso. I type that into the search. Because our system isn't perfect, it returns many results, and it's up to the searcher to find the best price. Once found, just use the links in the system and it takes you directly to the product. Our system displays shipping details for each retailer and at what point you get free shipping, which is an important factor. We know there are other gear systems out there for reviews and best prices, but we really encourage you to use ours as it supports your cc.com. Thanks

I should point out it's our unwritten policy that we don't allow bashing of other sites here. Few can understand the blood, sweet and tears that goes into running them as we do. Whether they are great or not in most cases they don't deserve the criticism as they are usually a mostly volunteer effort. If you don't like them speak with your keyboard and don't go to them or do something proactive and contact them with your concerns and feedback.

Now if Romney can keep his mouth shut for another 13 months he will be the candidate. Fantastic.

I thought this might interest some here. http://dalailama.com/messages/tibet/reincarnation-statement If I'm reading this correctly the Dalai Lama is basically saying that he might choose not be reincarnated as the 15th Dalai Lama because of China's interference in having a true Dalai Lama. I find it very sad that this is happening to one of the most open and accepting religions in the world. But somehow some dancing with the star nip slip is bigger news then this. Very sad.

Well, keep voting democrat then, they are giving everything to everybody. Money is free, it falls from the sky. It's only money - we have unlimited amounts to pay for both welfare and wars. And keep those Obama tax cuts for the rich in place too. See, by voting dem you can have it all forever. Brilliant. http://www.mckinsey.com/mgi/reports/freepass_pdfs/debt_and_deleveraging/debt_and_deleveraging_full_report.pdf Oh Bill you're breaking my heart!

sure (though not fewer loopholes, but ALL of them) -- and only if you increased the long-term capitol gains tax as well. 15% on an unlimited amount of income is RETARDED A massively simplified tax code without any deductions, loopholes or subsidies in exchange for lowered rates across the boards sounds pretty good to me. The problem is not the long term capital gain tax. We shouldn't be heavily taxed on income that is already taxed when it's put into investments, and Buffet doesn't disagree with this. The problem is that tax rate under Bush was extended to business dividends where it's became abusive. Most businesses in the US that generate significant income (S corps) the owners are given a reasonable wage and then as a "shareholder" are taxed on their distributions at 15%. So a $30 million a year business the owner can take a salary of $25k and then take a dividend, say $1 million, at 15%. Yes, it's being taxed beforehand at the corporate rate, but so is everything else. Canada has something similar, but the difference is the sky is not the limit, there is a cap on that 15%. And that is what the US needs to do. Small to medium sized business owners deserve the 15% tax break; they worked hard for it. Let them have their $250k at 15%. CEOs don't deserve a $40 million payout at 15% and that is where the abuse comes in. So therein lies the problem. How many people actually knew that. I know very intelligent people who don't understand the 15% dividend tax. They will argue until their blue in the face about taxation when not even understanding it.
