Yup, as mentioned above - no framesheet just the EvaZote pad. How much can you stuff in there? Ask Kyle Dempster.... http://blog.cilogear.biz/?p=1286 I'm always surprised how much I can stuff in my 30L. -

Has anyone been up the North Fork Teanaway River road #9737 recently? The USFS has removed the blockage sign @ 9703 but wondering what condition the balance of the road is under upto the trailhead. Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Club Sport Rock Climbing Gym - Tualatin, OR Not affiliated with them, but thought I'd pass along the deal. Normally $135 for a 10 pass punch card - $100 this week only. Call 503.968.4500 (activities desk) if you're interested. Offer closes 4/30/11.

Cheap to rent them at any shop in Sandy, OR. Asses when you arrive at Timberline. That said, with the amount of wind driven snow up there yesterday, I was thankful to have them.

Took a solo snowshoe slog up the Palmer yesterday AM. Visibility was 50', sustained high winds +30 MPH with gusts pushing 50. Would not have wanted to be any higher. +1 to Josh's link to NOAA And check NWAC.

Zero respect. Post your address dude - I think there will be some folks that would like to pay you a visit. As always - great photos John. Keep leading the way.

He was busy. Dragontail - good TR by the way.

Timberline Mountain Guides is your best bet: (541) 312-9242 Hood prior to Rainier would be a good conditioner and a better "earlier" season option.

I always have "protection" with me. Besides, I need a big burly gal to belay me.

Also posted in Climbing Partner forum under PDX drytool night: Thread revival!!! In lieu of crummy weather this weekend, I'm trekking to Rocky Butte for a bit of drytooling Saturday around 9:00 AM (ish). Never been before, but if anyone is interested in joining us, shoot me a PM. Bring on the rain!

Hello Steph, Sorry to hear about your accident - I'm sure you'll heal up soon and be back on the rock in no time....of which we can enjoy more of your TRs (excellent by the way!) Have you ever looked at an Schwinn AirDyne? They are tremendous for recovery and rehabilitation, however afterwards it is an insane machine for cardio workouts. If you can find one on Craigslist, the investment is worth it. Worst case is that if you don't keep it, you'll still get your money out of it should you sell. Here's to your recovery!

Nice shots! Thanks for sharing. I especially like the Index/Sky valley panorama. Great contrast in the blues. What kind of camera did you shoot these with?
