  1. Good job blaming society Choda, that always seems to get things done.
  2. Just remember what goes around comes around ... so be prepared for the favor to be returned. That said - hide your beer better. Man, if someone pees in one of my beer bottles after drinking the beer I'm gonna be so pissed.
  3. Thanks Sol. Will do. Good coming from a local.
  4. nonsense - i've taken worse, and far warmer too i'd bet Merely sarcasm. Although I think Washingtonians have better taste for beer. What's with the beer theft? Is it a tradition I don't know of? I've heard of it happening but didn't know it was common. You gonna rifle my pack too because I left it at the base?
  5. Good question. Guess I could leave some pabst. They probably wouldn't get stolen in the first place.
  6. I think I'll pee in some beer bottles and leave them stashed in random creeks near trailheads. That will make you think twice.
  7. ya...could be. but there was a natural pool below where it was stashed. I don't think it would float away. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, knowing someone on the wall that day jacked me. Or, if it did float away, my bad.
  8. You should see my friend's video. He bar tacked a sling with duct tape and took leader falls on it (obviously under controlled environments- I.E.- top rope backup.)
  9. Beer thief warning. Hide your beer well when stashing it in the creek. Some lamo stole my chilled beer that I was dreaming about on the descent.
  10. I think I'll stick to the bolts on that one.
  11. A buddy and I added the two belay stations and two pro bolts that you used to reach the summit from the Terrace last Fall. I've also been slowly adding bolts to Jacob's Ladder since I first climbed it. Thanks!
  12. Welcome to freedom.
  13. Need a size 11 double plastic?
  14. Really? at 56 grams? I see they have a keylock nose, which isn't a big deal to me, and they're well priced, but why are they the best? Maybe I should phrase it thusly, "Why are they better than Trango superlights which are shockingly lighter at only 41 grams and can be utilized in lots of places where a light weight unlocked carabiner would normally be utilized. And why are they better than the DMM Sentinel HMS which (like the Superfly) weights less at 54 grams and has a larger gate opening (nice for walls and multiple party clusterfriggages). Most importantly when your buddy drops his only belay device from 12 pitches up, can be used for rapping and belaying with a Munter Hitch? " Perhaps you mean trango superfly?
  15. So a helmet landed in our laps literally Friday while on Cocaine Connection approaching cocaine crack. It has an inscription on the inside. If you want to describe it I'll give it back.
  16. haha that too. But if you work up the grades it shouldn't be necessary? In theory?
  17. It depends. If you want to eventually get on legit 5.10 trad then I'd say, once you have the basics, go hone your craft at Index. But bring a good dose of humility.
  18. ya phew
  19. btw- as long as we're talking about Darrington bolts. We did the West Buttress of exfoliation dome yesterday. We heard that you shouldn't take the rap route for Dark Rhythm. Long story short, after rapping off the summit via the ascent route, we took the rap anchor at the base of the route to the summit and followed the descent rap. Pretty sure we took Dark Rhythm cause the rope almost got stuck on the third rap from the bottom. Anyone know if this is the case? Is there a better alternative besides the west slabs? If this was the rope eating descent it sure is dang intuitive.
  20. Didn't Matt P retrobolt a lot of the routes on Exfoliation dome recently ?
  21. lost guye on rope.
