  1. Both days, or just one, works for me. Leave Saturday AM?
  2. If weather holds, anybody (well almost anybody) up for some no-approach, moderate cragging this weekend? Or, if you're bad ass I'll belay you and you can teach me how to be bad ass too. Forecast looks kind of promising......
  3. The guide book I have said to get a parking pass from this place in George. The old guy at "this" place in George told me they didn't sell them anymore - but to go to another town to get it. I said f*ck it and went cragging w/out the parking permit - and saw many other cars didn't have a permit. Are they necessary? Can I get one around Seattle? Anyone ever gotten a ticket for not having a permit?
  4. That too. PS - Counterfeit - I sent you a PM about that extra rack key. Do you want it mailed?
  5. Also, the orientation of the rope is not as important in other devices that have teeth - like reverso.
  6. The way you describe is the best, but I think it's safe either way if the belayer is competent. I wasn't in your shoes, but if they looked like they could have used some help, why not give it to them if you are willing - obviously you were willing if your're posting this. If I was doing/or my belayer was doing something unsafe/stupid I'd hope a more experienced onlooker would speak up.
  7. I think it should fit - though I don't have part #'s. I bought what the Thule catalog said would fit - my car was a WRX sedan. Check out their website, see if the same rack will fit the different year cars.
  8. It fit my 2003 Subaru Impreza. All four rooftop/attachments; 4 ski holder; downhill mountainbike rack; locks for all 4 attachment points and equipment holders; front wind deflector that has Thule on it (you know the one). I don't have a Subaru anymore - $100 or best reasonable offer takes it. SOLD
  9. Thanks Your last comment was really helpful! Thanks for all the other help.
  10. Anyone (well, almost anyone)?? I'll drive!!!!! I can belay!!!!!
  11. Anyone up for climbing? I think weather should be ok. I'm pretty new to climbing - Probably lead intermediate sport and beginning trad - have some trad gear. I'm up for pretty much anything within a couple hours of Seattle.
  12. This book is a little hard to find - I guess a 3rd edition is coming out soon though .
  13. I'm pretty new to climbing. Is there a good guide book for climbing around Vantage? Is this book my best bet - Rock Climbs of Central Washington
