A little more chalk is all you need, Joseph...

I've seen him do it, on Dod's, just below Big Ledge. I think I even have a photo of it. I'm sure it was only cause he forgot his chalk though.

Profitable Outdoor Store for sale - Port Townsend
denalidave replied to Wildernest's topic in Local Gear Shops
Well, I am slightly interested but don't really want to move to Port Townsend. Thanks for the advice though. More interested in the general cost of such a business. More curious than anything. -
It's all coming down sooner or later, right? Hopefully, not in our lifetime though.

But what is the asking price for the store? -
Beacon Rock will be open the weekend of 17th-18th
denalidave replied to JosephH's topic in Access Issues
My understanding that that was suppose to be taken up by the swing shift... ...they might be unionized so perhaps they took a safety break before they even started and ever got to it!? I'll have my people contact your people and they can sort it out... -
BRSPFA Beacon Rock State Park Fixed Pro Application. Don't leave home without one!

I'm just flicking shit at you boner... LCK and I got first dibs on the night run on opening night, June 13th. I think it took us about 3 hours but we loitered at all the appropriate spots to soak in the view.

2 hours, I got 2 laps and a run up the trail in less time than that yesterday (including the obligatory ledge beer rest stops). Must have just missed you guys. Keep training and maybe you can go for the longest known time on the corner, I think it's around 13 hours...

I've always thought "elitist" was a better description...

I agree w/Steve... Ogden is my home town and has some great outdoor sport opportunities (aside from world class skiing). The town itself has been in a downward spiral for a few decades, so hopefully, this new approach at being the outdoor mecca will revive the area. I sure love the Wasatch back-drop on the east end of town and there are so many places to explore up there. That is where I fell in love with the mountains and that place will always hold a certain special spot in my heart. I was there a few years ago and was impressed with what they had gotten started at that time. Can't wait to get back and see what else is new. Hoping for the best on the RB fall victim, too...

Yeah, I love the Glenallen Alps, although that was my first jaunt into the area.

OK, last try to link some pics since I cannot, for the life of me, upload them directly to cc.com Chugach State Park, Ak - Williawa Lakes/Peak May 2010 Picassa Pics Linky May 2010 KFGL - Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, AK, June, 2010 If you happen to have deep pockets, staying at this lodge is an incredible experience. It is the only lodge in the entire Kenai Fjords National Park. It is a unique "ecolodge" located in one of Americas most beautiful and pristine locations... No litter, no noise and plenty of natural wonders to be had. It is a logistical puzzle keeping it running smoothly though. A cheaper alternative would be to take the water taxi and get dropped off in the park for a few days of kayaking and camping. The only pano that would load You can also check out their website... KFGL Website Linky If I get some free time and energy, I may upload the rest of my weekend getaways, but not likely as it takes so damn long and I keep getting snaffled anyway...

Thanks Oly. I've been meaning to clean out the clutter on my photos here, I'll get started on that too...

It is hard to narrow it down to just one, but my favs are "Baby on Board" and "Honk if You Love JESUS". How can you argue with such wit?

OK, tried to fix it one more time and found the problem (I think). As far as Mt Cecil, yes on the south side of the Kenai River/Cooper Landing overlooking the river/lake.

OK, so I'm about to throw this POS PC out the window due to the frustration of not being able to upload photos here. I've tried every browser in various sized files and almost always get an unknown error. Occasionally, the photo will load, even if it is a large file. Any suggestions on fixing this? Adjust my browser settings? Anyone? Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?...

ah screw it, I hate Kodak not so easy share software...

For the record, women can, and indeed must, drop the same deuce or three too. Try living in a communal setting with a bunch beautiful young women. Talk about an uncomfortable movement in the co-ed bathhouse... Keeping the decibel level down when the big messy one drops is always an uncomfortable scenario when the ladies are present. On the other hand, I'd guess most men take it as a great challenge to impress the spouse/partner with an over the top movement or a large bout of flatulence. Why is it that we humans are so concerned about our privacy in these matters anyway?

Uh, your point is???

Linkies screwed up, I give up...

Not sure if this is the same peak you are asking about, but it is called Mt Cecil... It is a non-technical walk-up/scramble. However, there are certainly more spices lines, but it is pretty chossy if you choose to take a more direct line.
