  1. My fax machine kept telling me the fax did not go through so I scanned and sent it as a PDF. I will prolly end up with 7 or 8 completed orders if they actually got all the faxes I sent... I'm sure BillCoe/gearho will need all the extras they send me though so no worries.
  2. Thanks Bill, I just ordered a couple pairs myself. Never tried Evolve shoes before, anyone know how they fit (generally speaking)? I normally don't like to buy shoes online unless I try em in store first to make sure they will fit but this was such a bargain I couldn't resist.
  3. BTW, be careful when you start to help him find investment properties in the US, you need a real estate license for that, ya know.
  4. This seems like an unrelated issue and supported entirely on conjecture. I have not so far seen or heard any evidence that these two deaths were in any way a direct product of the victims being guided clients and therefore inexperienced. Until I hear something contrary, I'm guessing based on what's been reported thusfar that both were victims of pre-existing congenital medical conditions of which they likely were not aware, particularly a 20 year old. This has happened before, not only on Denali but in other arenas. A very experienced Swiss guide died in his tent of a coronary in 1992 at 14K. Jim Fixx is another example. It might, except that it appears that the dangers of Denali had, at most, peripheral involvement in causing these deaths. You probably should wait until the bodies have actually been removed from the mountain and a COD established before jumping to conclusions, not to mention choosing a different venue in which to address your grievances. My thoughts exactly!
  5. Not me!
  6. No, the ladies model is chartreuse. That is hunter green, and therefore clearly the mens model. Amateur... Oh yeah, duh.
  7. Isn't that the ladies model though?
  8. :lmao:Yeah, I always laugh when I see this big foreign bank uses a hotmail or yahoo email to notify you of your great inheritance.
  9. Last time I went in May they barely even glanced at our permits. Good thing since we could only get one for Friday and actually summited on Sat after a bivy at treeline Friday night. She checked us on Sat afternoon on our way out. I bet if you just hung one on there they would hardly know the dif. Then again, maybe not... Also, we bought the permits online for Friday cause that is all we could get but when we showed up in Cougar to pick them up at the motel they asked us what day we wanted the permit for and we told them the actually day we had purchased it for but could have just as easily told them Saturday and they would have gone ahead and given it to us for Sat.
  10. the owls i saw were much larger than barn owls, the year i saw it frequently was 95'/96' and i do believe the nest failed that year. who knows, i bet peregrine eggs are tasty though. i always go for the quail eggs when eating sushi, great for first dates, good to know if she swallows or just spits it out MMMM sushi!
  11. Aint nothin wrong with Twinkies but I prefer Ding Dongs myself. Man, it has been years since I have had either. Better fix that.
  12. So since you won't be needing any of that climbing stuff anymore, I'd be happy to "rack sit" for you. I normally charge a small fee for this service but since you seem like such a nice guy I will do it for free. Congrats on your gig!

  14. I always liked going in early September, just before hunting season opened. You may get some winter weather but never any crowds or bugs that time of year.

  16. Man, I sure miss the Winds. I used to go there every year when I lived in Utah. Thanks for the pics, brings back some great memories. I think I will dig out the slide projector and re-visit there soon.

    I'm done

I like that Hardy Falls trail, we take our little girls (3 & 5 up there all the time). I live just a couple minutes from there. Gonna run to the top of Mt Hamilton later tonight... Yesterday was the first time I had climbed with KS, really nice guy. More sitting in line than climbing but a fun day at the big rock anyway. I've climbed w/his bro a few times at the zone, he and Ivan were having some fun out there too. I swear I heard someone using a power drill on the south face when I went back to get my pack/gear at the base.

  19. I thought seat belts were a secondary violation and you had to be pulled over for another violation first? Either way, it is pretty easy for them to say you were swerving or whatever then give you the seat belt ticket. I always were mine, especially since my insurance won't cover me in a wreck if I don't were it.
  20. I like watching my friends do that, it much easier on my nuts.
  21. Pretty much butting up to the trail. I may be off on the 40-50' from the touron trail but it was just as you transition from the really loose rocky part of the trail to where it is more forested. I will be out on Friday am w/Fargo and maybe we can move it. If I see you, I will try to show it to you or maybe mark it with some branches or cairns next to it.
  22. "But other than that, how did you like the play Mrs Lincoln?"
