I always thought that too, as do most people I've asked. However, last year I found a way to work a bit higher with the hands that make it 5.9, at least for me anyway. If I don't use that hold and go out way right for the insecure slabby move, it's feels very 10a. I love Jill's but if you fall at the crux, odds are good for rolling/breaking an ankle on the bulge below so it's never a gimme in my book.

Look at it this way... If the noobs all get eliminated on that route, they won't be yarding on all the other loose holds... Hmmmm

Who's headed out today?

I've got a couple climbing buddies that may have some beta for you... One is a bush pilot that does mostly climbing support flights for Wrangell. The other buddy has done at least one extended ski/climbing trip there (or maybe a few). PM me if you would like me to put you in touch with either of them.

I have made this same dreadful mistake with my wife too..

Not sure if you already looked into it, but I was able to re-order new custom orthotics from the originally mold at a much cheaper price than the original since they already had the fit mold on file. It was still around $100 but that is money well spent in my book. I have not have had nearly the results w/Super Feet but maybe I did not get fitted right with them.

Ivan, Cruisin is mostly dry, damp in a few spots. 2nd pitch slab looks dry. LCK just showed and is looking to get out, I think. Don't think I will be able to make it today.

has it dried off enough to do anything free dave? i haven't been able to get motivated much for aid-climbing after school... Not sure... looking out the window now and the sidewalks look a bit damp. I'm heading out to get the mail and might drive over and take a peak at the routes. I was hoping to get on something easy w/LCK later, maybe Jill's or YW if either are dry enough.
