  1. Regardless of any extra costs, ALWAYS go with the bag with the cutest and most colorful cartoon character on it.
  2. Might be cheaper if you just happen to be right behind a guided group by "accident".
  3. learning to bolt should be done with someone who is experienced at putting them in... you can't read about it and then claim you know what you're doin Coming from an expert bolter.
  4. I like how one of my buddies puts it... The only thing scarier than trad climbing at Beacon is sport climbing at Beacon. I sure don't want to lead it.
  5. YOWZA!
  6. Bump... Finally got my first $1 deal. Worth keeping an eye on if you happen to be at the computer anyway. I did not think the deal went through, but a couple days later and I got the product. NICE gloves that fit well for a $1, plus $7 for shipping. Thanks for posting this.
  7. Some friends of the family raise our pig every year. I always intend to go meet the little feller before he is in the freezer, but it has yet to happen. Maybe this year? After getting it this way, I cringe at the thought of the thought of poor souls eating store bought bacon, sausage, ham, steaks, chops, mmmmmmmmmmmmm BACON. I digress...
  8. So is everyone else... anyone who takes this stuff too seriously shouldn't be on this site! Yeah buddy!
  9. So, now that we have a Bacon forum, can we get a little bacon gif like the smiles and such? 8D 8D :kisss: ... :[] :: baa sickie I know, it's a slippery slope...
  10. That's BACON Rock Pete, shheeesh.
  11. Charcoal lighter fluid, its kind of rough going down but the flatulence is spectacular. Just don't smoke in the tent!
  12. No, but seems easier than most of the other 10's at Beacon, to me anyway... To me....free for some seems easier. My guess is you are the only one, or one of the very few that would agree. The ratings on both routes suggest my theory is correct. You must be better on the harder thin stuff?
  13. White gas helps keep you all warm and fuzzy inside. I like to drink it in colder weather...
  14. Are you kidding? How can anyone be a "real" climber without the mini-shopping cart to schlep all the gear to the routes? I also have the new state of the art, spring activated, pop up flower nuts that can be seen on the top of my helmet. I bet are champion gear-ho, Bill Coe, does not even have any of those on his rack YET.

  17. Why yes, here is a shot of our beloved Windsurfer - "The easiest 10b at Bacon".
  18. It's all spray anyway, right Kev?
  19. I'll rap into LOLP with a giant gas grill. Better yet, solo the corner with it dangling off my back.
  20. Nice, sorry I missed your call, I was out schlepping rocks around the yard before the skies unleashed.
  21. I did not even bother posting as I knew Bill would make us all look so feeble and useless when it comes to gear-whoring. Besides, I don't really have a gear closet, more like a gear attic and gear bins... Here's most of my standard rock rack though...
  22. Being b'tarded feels so speshow.
