We had two pretty good back-to-back ski seasons. I could do with some climbing weather this winter. I might even make an appearance this winter. I know you are all dying to see me again!

You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

ha, I'm glad I'm not the only guy wearing these things. So do you bring *any* kind of first aid? I'd think even some gauze and a foil blanket or something...you guys are really hanging it out there, I like it -
My guess is that I tore some kind of connective tissue inside the button and so now it's a bit more "free floating."

Since this has happened, my belly button looks different, too. "Saggy" would be the best way to describe it, like there is too much loose skin inside the belly button, it's hard to describe. Also, it seems prone to some sort of skin irritation / infection now, which makes it itchy and smell bad. I experimented with H2O2 which was neat because of the foaming action but I've actually had better results with a little hand sanitizer and a q-tip -- a good cleaning once a month or so seems to help. I don't think it will really ever be back to normal. I just hope it doesn't get saggier with age.

this story is kind of funny because just the other day I was doing R&D and I got stuck behind a slow party and topped out in the dark, when I realized I had forgotten my sneakers for the descent. I was going to walk down in my rock shoes, but that sounded like an ordeal, especially in the dark. That's when I realized that I could see the lights of Leavenworth, so I called SAR. They brought a helicopter by and dropped a pair of sneakers right into my hand, it was impressive. They said, "better safe than sorry" and that I could have gotten a really nasty blister.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite line, it's either "TAKE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE BY AND SEE MY HOUSE FROM THE OUTSIDE " or "i pray everything works the way i have planed...."

So I'm looking for a new place to rent. Should I be suspicious?

when I did the bailey traverse, I skipped a peak or two. Or three. Who cares so much? Can I still call it the bailey traverse? I'm pretty sure I at least traversed something, cause I came out the other end.

I'm not really sure what you're saying; how do beer drinking or t-ball practice fit in? Anyway, if it were me, I'd be pretty embarrassed to ever say anything like this:

Sweet! I just took my special lady friend on a 4-day trip through the enchantments, but we didn't summit anything and as I understand it, that's a new requirement for posting TRs? Looks like a fun trip! I haven't had a chance to check out the photos yet since I'm posting this between builds, but I'm sure I'll play with myself over them later. You're living the dream!

wait, so what's the story? They weren't actually carried off the peak or anything but the helicopter came out and lowered them new ropes? That's a pretty generous rescue service they run over there. I wonder if they'd bring me a few cams if I was feeling run out?

[TR] Bailey Traverse - The Anniversary Route 8/4/2012

There aren't a lot of good hanging trees on the traverse. Ferry basin is better, but still the NPS forces parties on this route to carry a bear canister. At least, they did as of a few years ago. It's a really good policy, especially given the lack of good hanging opportunities throughout much of the route. -
It must be exhausting to be you.

I think they should ban wilderness travel entirely, except for me and my friends.
