  1. Hopefully the future also brings a child lottery.
  2. Sounds good to me, computers would handle traffic way more efficiently.
  3. Thanks! Most definitely. I just don't have that physical and mental talent to onsight at or above my limit. At my age and limited talent level, you learn to savor any small victory that comes your way. Psssh, whatever, dude. I don't know you, but this is no "small victory."
  4. Computers win, again!

All of America's problems would go away if we only "reinstated the draft," right GGK?
  6. Several options: orthotic inserts with a heel cup that fits. I do this on all my boots due to my weird feet. Also, as you noted, you can change your lacing technique. I also do this. There are lots of examples of different techniques on the Internet, you'll have to experiment. Also, it sounds silly, but you might also try different socks. I have specific socks for each boot I own.

  13. Portland is alright, it's kind of like a really small belltown surrounded by miles and miles of redmond.
  14. I dunno, every time I drive through portland the traffic seems a thousand times worse than seattle's. Bad timing? It seems like there is one spot where 9 different highways all coil up together like a big wad of fishing line.
  15. anyone who thinks unicorn is the hippest bar in seattle has either never been there or they're not from seattle
  16. this is basically the same principle as a screamer, isn't it? You'd have to also factor in the distance between the failed piece and the piece that ends up stopping you -- the longer you fall after blowing a piece, the closer you get to achieving your original potential energy. (from a physics dropout)

is THAT what you think happens to you, that you just come on here and get ruthlessly attacked for no reason other than because you have a minority opinion?

  22. yeah, they were super coordinated and had their timing DOWN. On the steeps she would leap off and run along side the bike, pushing it, while he pedaled, and then she would leap back on at the top without even stopping. Super impressive. My girlfriend told me that would never happen, though.
  23. I already have a tandem but that looks like a sweet setup. Does it have 26'' rims, then? I saw a couple on a mtb tandem in bend this summer, they were tearing shit UP
