  1. Hey, those dogs don't have legs! Still cuties, though.

My money was on Cashew Chicken. After taking out Garlic and Pepper Chicken, she was a real contender. "Garlic Beansprouts" shouldn't have even showed up.
  3. Trailrunning on climbing trips--it's a win win.
  4. Check yer PM's.
  5. If anyone's looking for a Smith partner for this weekend, my buddy "Old 5.9" is on his way there this very minute and is looking for a climbing compadre once he arrives. He'll be there until Monday. PM me if you want his contact info.
  6. " That's some depressing meteorology. Although, it probably helps the sales of the "I love wet crack" tshirts at the gear shop up there. As for the softness of the grading in Squamish, I will say that it is one of the only places around here where I can lead a 5.8 that doesn't scare the bejeebus outta me. I don't know if that makes ME soft, or Squamish soft, though?
  7. I can bike any time from my front door. I have to drive somewhere to climb. This results in doing more biking than climbing, but I still like climbing better. I'm sure there are tons of forums out there for the spandex-clad. Here's one I've found myself using from time to time: bikeforums.net
  8. Isn't that an oxymoron?
  9. This same scenario took place while we were at Panty Wall in Red Rock last November. Dude saunters up from the trail, asks to look at a guidebook, someone says "sure, mine's in the pack there", and while everyone's attention is on the climbing the guy vanishes along with the book. Don't know if he was a climber or not, but it was like he knew what he wanted and left as soon as he got it.
  10. I also thought Arizona Charlie's on Decatur was a good deal. Clean room with fridge, reasonable rates(usually). Book directly through their website to avoid the travel-site fees/markups. Right now the rates are around $55 during the week, while most of the other "west of strip" joints are $100+.
  11. But isn't it beautiful?
  12. Dis iz eggzellent newz. Vee aahr vinning zee var agins zee snow. Zoon, zee climbings vill be all ours. Bwhaahahaaaa.
  13. Awesome. Those ideas are just the sort of insight that was eluding me. I'll check 'em out right away. Thanks, guys!
  14. My nylon windbreaker got in a cat-fight with the desert flora on my last RR trip. Short of plastering duct tape over the holes and tears, is anyone aware of a better way to patch these things? Seems like you should be able to get an iron-on patch kit or special glue or something. My google search came up fruitless.

Cute pics! I'm partial to the lab/pit mixes, too. Mine is the most soft-mouthed, sensitive boy you could ever meet. I think if push came to shove I'd have to protect HIM. (He hides from kids.) Though he does stalk bugs with a vengeance(especially that ONE fly he hears somewhere out in the yard).
  17. How's this? Cragging in Red Rocks with Joanne Urioste last weekend. Talk about passion and enthusiasm! I've been to Paradise.
  18. I like what Rumr had to say. If we put that post to music, I bet Charlene could turn that into a hit, too. I'm a sucker for sentimental ballads.
  19. I didn't make it past #79, though. White people don't like long lists.
  20. My mom used to pack egg sandwiches for me when I was in elementary school. Always smelled like someone farted in my lunch bag. Who brings those on a climbing trip??
  21. Nice, Sobo. Just don't sneak up behind him with a chainsaw. Feck, I was given a pair of those Husky chaps as a get-well gift after my accident. Good idea.
  22. Good on ya for spreading the word, Mythosgirl.
  23. Not THAT one, silly.
  24. You're killin' us here, E. Oh well, guess somebody has to live the dream.... and at least you post great pictures for us to get a little taste of it.
