Just put the finishing touches on this one. It's a more detailed variation of the original shown at the beginning of the thread, and includes a snazzy log frame.(that was a fun challenge) It's hefty, though--measures 3' x 4' and weighs 35lbs. FYI for Rmncwrtr: you'd like working with the finish I used on this(for your next project ). It's called "Tried and True Wood Finish". It's completely non-toxic(you could finish salad bowls with it) and soooooo easy to apply. Just rub it in, buff, and repeat.

It's beee-oooot-iful! People better bring some fat checkbooks to that auction, is what I'm sayin'. This is fine art, from the heart(which is the best kind.) Enjoy that celebration . You deserve it.

I'm glad it's staying, even if I have to press an extra button for it. If the site was only for climbing posts, I'm afraid I wouldn't have very much to say. I can see why this is important to Rob. Spray serves a purpose; it's a way for folks that share a common interest to stay connected while they are not out participating in that common interest. I'd go so far as to say that it creates community. Albeit a disturbingly dysfunctional one. Porter, you guys do an incredible job keeping this place together. I know we're in good hands, whatever the changes.

I need to make up for the rainy days which cut into my spring climbing fix on the last trip. Anyone going to be around? I'm up for following any of the moderate(sub 5.9) multi's--I can swing leads if it's 5.6--or getting some mileage cragging at Willow Springs, Brass Wall, Sunnyside etc. I'll have rack/rope. Think sun.

If all else fails, you could try hanging out at Panty Wall(a popular sport climbing crag), Newcastle(a toprope/sport crag), Moderate Mecca(a trad/sport crag), or Cannibal(mostly sport). All are pretty easy to locate with a guidebook, usually crowded, and you may find some folks willing to swap belays. You may also end up connecting with some new partners thru the clinics and festival activities. Shoot High_on_Rock a PM. He's usually down there with a pretty cool crowd and might be able to help you out finding some folks to climb with, too. Good luck, Bro!
